Tom Cruise Partners Up With Warner Bros to Develop Original and Franchise Films
Tom Cruisehas become a huge brand that every studio wants to collaborate with. His enthusiasm and commitment to films are unparalleled and is constantly finding innovative ways to improve the state of cinema and provide audiences with something new each time. The actor has now made a big step in his career that will be exciting to look forward to.
Warner Bros and Cruise have now announced (via theWarner Bros Discoverywebsite) that they will be partnering up to produce and develop original and franchise films that he will star in, beginning this year. The actor has already made 8 successful films with the studio includingEdge of Tomorrow, Rock of Ages, The Last Samurai, Eyes Wide Shut, Interview with the Vampire, Risky Business,The Outsiders, andMagnolia.
Cruise himself is excited about this exciting prospect and shared a statement about the collaboration with the studio. He went on to praise the efforts of Warner Bros CEOs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy while also expressing his intention to make great moves with them. He said,
“I have great respect and admiration for David, Pam, Mike, and the entire team at Warner Bros. Discovery and their commitment to movies, movie fans, and the theatrical experience. I look forward to making great movies together!”
This is not an exclusive deal and Cruise can keep working with other studios (as he is working onMission Impossible 8with Paramount and his upcoming Doug Liman space movie with Universal). It looks like this is his long-term plan after the potential end of hisMission Impossiblefranchise and it will be exciting to see what kind of movies he makes under the studio.

Tom Cruise Has Started Work on His Upcoming Space Movie With Doug Liman
It was announced two years back that Tom Cruise will star in a space film where he will become the first civilian to shoot a film in space. The film will be directed by Doug Liman and will be made under Universal with a budget of $200 million. (viaVariety)
Cruise gave an update about the project last year as he promotedMission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.He toldVarietythat while he hasn’t set a production date yet, he and Liman have started work on the film. He said,
“You know what, I don’t know yet. We’ve been working on it diligently, and we’ll see where we go.“
