Enter:Jeff Bezoswith his million-dollar empire containing Amazon Prime Video that became the ultimate savior. Apparently, Andrew Kosove of Alcon TV told theLA Timesthat Bezos is a huge fan ofThe Expanse, a fact that played a monumental role in landing the show at Prime Video. He said,
It’s Jeff Bezos’ favorite TV show. I believe [the move to Amazon] was because of Jeff Bezos: ‘I like watching the show, so let’s make it work.’
With the combined support of a horde of fans and Bezos himself, The Expanse was brought back to life on the streaming platform with season 4. Thesurprisingly accurate arcsand intriguing characters continued to make a splash and Prime Video reveled in the success as well.
Apart from the passion of fans, Bezos’ interest in space exploration and the mystery of the same further propelled the billionaire to giveThe Expanseahome at Prime Video. Additional support from big-shot celebrities like Wil Wheaton and George R.R. Martin didn’t hurt either.

The shift for the series from a television channel to a streaming platform could have been harder than they anticipated. But as it turned out,The Expansewas well-suited to thrive in the streaming space as people are always on the lookout for new and interesting content to consume on their own time.
On Prime Video, the show found a new legion of fans who couldn’t wait to devour the past three seasons of the show and eagerly wait for the next chapters. Actor Steven Strait, who led the show as James Holden, said,
With a streaming platform, it lends itself to the fluency of the narrative structure, whereas if you have to wait a week until new episodes, some of that gets lost in between viewing experiences.
