The shockwaves generated by the SAG-AFTRA strike can still be felt in Hollywood. The aftermath of the protest is there for everyone to see. Various projects have gone off course in the aftermath of the protest of the scale which had never been before.

Even a studio of the stature of Warner Bros. is feeling the heat. And fans are worried that the protest might witness the cancellation of Robert Pattinson’s next movie, following the same fate as a John Cena starrer.

Robert Pattinson’s next,Mickey 17,is based on Edward Ashton’sMickey7that hit the shelves in 2022. It didn’t take long for people to confirm that a movie was under works, with none other than Bong Joon-Ho taking the reins of direction and writing in his own hands.
If that wasn’t enough to make people fall in love with the idea of the project, Robert Pattinson himself was all set to star in the project. TheTwilightstar’s long list of fans were raring to see their favorite star back in action. Much to their dismay, it seems likely that their hopes might be dashed to the ground.

The SAG-AFTRA strike seems likely to have an impact on Hollywood
Mickey 17was slated to be released on August 22, 2025, by Warner Bros. Pictures. But times have not been kind to the studio. Times have been tumultuous. And those tumultuous times have witnessed the scrapping of a few projects.
One of the projects that faced the axe was a movie produced by James Gunn and starring John Cena. Warner Bros. Discovery, under the leadership of David Zaslav, shelved the project, in spite of the fact that the movie was almost fully completed.

The times are uncertain. No one can be sure what is going to happen. The movie directed by Bong Joon-Ho is currently in post-production. We can only hope that it doesn’t share the same fate asBatgirl.
