While promoting their upcoming sequelDune 2which is due to hit the theaters soon, theEuphoriaactor remembered the first time she crossed paths with theWonkastar when he failed to come to her aid during an embarrassing situation at the airport.

While most friendships are formed through pleasant first-time encounters that develop into close bonds,ZendayaandTimothée Chalamet’scamaraderie did not have a similar beginning. The two stars who will soon be seen inDune 2,became buddies while working together in the first film, but met in extremely awkward circumstances for the first time.

In an appearance onJimmy Kimmel Live, Chalamet and Zendaya along with Florence Pugh and Austin Butler spoke about their upcoming sequel and the expectations from it. When the celebrities were asked about their working relationship and off-set friendship, Zendaya recalled the first time that she technically met Chalamet at the airport before they were cast together inDune.

What transpired was a very embarrassing situation for theSpider-Man: No Way Homestar who fell awkwardly in front of everyone in the airport including Chalamet who was witness to it. When pressed for further details, the celebrity jokingly said,

“Yeah, we were on the same flight, and I fell in the airport and that was technically our first meeting. I don’t wanna talk about it,”

When Florence Pugh goaded her to reveal more, Zendaya confessed that she received no help from theCall Me By Your Name starwho admitted that he was clueless about what to do at the time. This response then prompted theOppenheimeractor to admonish Chalamet for his apparent unchivalrous behavior. TheWonkastar put an end to the lighthearted banter by revealing that he had since been forgiven by Zendaya for his lack of empathy on the day.

Zendaya’s Hopes ForEuphoriaSeason 3

Euphoriaand Zendaya fans have been waiting impatiently for announcements about season 3. While the 3rd installment of the hit series was originally expected to premier in 2024, the Actors Strike has now ensured that the show will air only by early 2025. Zendaya who will reprise her role as Rue, revealed her hopes for the show including a brighter and happier future for her character Rue. In an interview toThe Hollywood Reporterin March 2023, she said,

“I just hope for a little bit of joy and for her just to be able to breathe and love without the fear of losing. I mean she’s gonna have to go through some things, yes, but you know, we’ll get there.”
