NBA 2K22has arrived on both current-gen and next-gen platforms this year and people are ready to go online and play with their friends, which makes knowing how to handle squad invites all the more important.
There is plenty of single player content that you’re able to experience in NBA 2K22 where you never have to play against anything other than a computer if you do not want to, but there’s just something that makes the experience all the better when playing with others online.
While you can just match up in places during your MyCareer, getting together in squads is definitely the way to go, especially if you’re playing with friends.
Squad invites inNBA 2K22are the key to linking up with your friends or other players online when playing in your MyCareer Mode. Actually doing so can get a little confusing for players though, so we are here to help.
Some players may immediately think the best course of action would be to press the equivalent of the Start button on their respective platform and finding a friends option there.
That is not the case here though, as your in-game phone is going to be the method of doing all squad invites inNBA 2K22. Your phone can be accessed at any time while exploring by pressing left on the D-Pad to bring up a screen with a few options.
In this case, the one you are going to want to pick says Who’s Online and should be the top left option. This next screen will look different depending on if you have any friends already online. If you do, they will show up at the top of the list, while the other players currently online on the server will show up below that so you could get in a squad with them after playing together perhaps.
To send a squad invite, all you have to do is go to the person on this list that you want to invite and press X on PlayStation or the similar button on other platforms to bring up a little pop-up menu. From there, just select Invite To Squad and it will be sent to them.
As for accepting Squad Invites, it is done directly from the phone as well. You will notice on the Who’s Online screen that there is an area that indicates if you have squad invite notifications turned on, which you will definitely want to always have turned on for sure.
From there, just go to your phone after you get a squad invite notification inNBA 2K22and you should be able to accept it right away and be ready to ball out with your friends or even strangers online.
