Black Myth Wukongis a game that loves hiding little secrets from the player, and across the exciting chapters that punctuate this experience, you’ll be able to find items, secret paths, and uniqueside-queststhat willreveal boss battlesthat many of the more casualWukongplayers simply won’t see as they are so well hidden.
Black Myth Wukong: How To Beat Kang-Jin-Loong
Here’s How To Beat This Ice-Cold Killer
One such secret boss is Red Loong, a lightning dragon found in the first chapter of the game, not far from where your adventure begins, surprisingly. They offer a challengenot too unlike Kang-Jin-Loongand also boast some incredible rewards if you may beat them. But to beat them, you’ll have to find them first.
This is easier said than done, but we intend to help you with that and help you cross off arguably the hardest boss off your chapter one checklist.

How To Get The Loong Scales
To access Red Loong’s Secret area in Chapter One, you’ll need to acquire a key item to reveal the secret path to their domain. This key item is the Loong Scales, which can be acquired about halfway through Chapter Two.
To access this, you will need to beat the King of the Flowing Sands boss, and upon doing so, when you enter the Valley of Despair, you’ll then face off against the First Prince of the Flowing Sands.

But take note of the patterned stone wall below before you enter the fray, asthis is a destructible wall that will grant you access to a secret area.
There are two ways to access this area. These are as follows:

To gain the Wandering Wight spirit, you will need to defeat this mini-boss located near the Outside the Forest Shrine in the game’s first chapter.
After you reveal this path, head through the crack, and you’ll find a room with a chest that holds the Loong Scales.

Where Is Red Loong In Black Myth Wukong?
After you get the hold of the Loong Scales, you’ll want to fast-travel back to the Outside the Forest Shrine, and then head left after fighting the pair of basic fodder enemies. Follow the sound of crashing water, and you’ll eventually find an area with a waterfall.
If you have the scales, you can examine this waterfall and stop the water from flowing, revealing a path to Red Loong.

How To Prepare For Red Loong
Seeing as you don’t need to have beaten either of the Vanguards in chapter two to take on this fight, it means that this fight can be taken on pretty early in the game if you choose to do so. However, there are some things that I would urge players to have access to before they take on this fight.
Firstly, I suggest that playershave access to lightning-resistant items and armor. This means that players will need to complete the side questthat allows them to craft medicine, which will allow them tocraft Shock-Quelling Powder. I would also suggest that playerscraft Galeguard Armor for additional shock resistance.
Second, I would suggest that players try and have a full loadout before taking this one, which means adecent Spirit, a powerful vessel, some helpful Curios, and a strong weaponfor this stage in the gamelike the Wind Bear Staff.
Lastly,I would urge players toupgrade their Gourd at least onceand have some Drinks and Soaks that will help them stay alive during this tricky fight.
How To Defeat Red Loong
Red Loong is a boss that relies on powerful lightning attacks and explosive bursts to frustrate players, but this can largely be managed by dealing strong, heavy blows to stagger this boss for extended periods.
Black Myth: Wukong Now Runs On Smartphones Thanks To Chinese Modders
An unverified Chinese modder has revealed how he was able to run the global hit Black Myth: Wukong on an Android Device, in a not-so-impressive manner
Red Loong will begin the fightwith a spinning tail swipe, which can be avoided with a well-timed dodge, then I would suggestusing the Immobilization Spell and the Wandering Wight Headbutt attack for an early stagger.
The boss will stay down for upwards of ten seconds if you remain offensive and chaining attacks when they are down, so when you stagger them, stay aggressive and don’t relent until they get back up again.
Be wary though, because as soon as they get up, they will do a lightning explosion attack that will deal huge damage. So, as soon as they regain their composure, they should get some distance to avoid this shock attack.
Their melee attacks are rather basic by all accounts but they do hit hard. They’ll use stomps, swipes, and a leaping attackto punctuate the moments between lightning attacks, and it’s best to use timed dodges to avoid these and not get too greedy in these moments.
Other than that, there isn’t much else you need to know to win this fight. The key here is to understand the cues when Red Loong is about to do their electric burst attack, and if you understand that, there’s very little else they have in their locker that can really test you.
Rewards For Defeating Red Loong
If you manage to locate and defeat the elusive Red Loong, you’ll earn the following rewards:
The standout reward here is the Thunder Tail, whichwill allow you to craft the Loongwreathe Staff later down the line. You’ll also gain the Loong Pearl, which also goes toward crafting the Loongwreathe Staff.
