A fan page on social media revealed a major detail of the finale concerning Princess Rhaenys that was not known to many. The post mentioned that Lord Corlys Velaryon’s battleship boasted a figurehead of Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, symbolizing both her legacy and love for her. The sculpture depicts the Princess holding the crown of the Old King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.

This figurehead thus emphasized her significant but unfulfilled claim to the throne and her enduring influence on House Velaryon. This oversight diminished the emotional and historical weight of the scene. Further, leaving fans disappointed by the lack of focus on such a visually striking element of the show.

Showrunner Confirms House of the Dragon Will Conclude With Season 4
Showrunner and co-creator ofHouse of the Dragon, Ryan Condal, announced during a press conference (viaVariety) that the prequel to theGame of Throneswill end with Season 4. Further, the third season is currently in the writing stage, with the production anticipated to begin in early 2025.
When Condal was questioned about the episode count of the third season, he added that no discussions had taken place with HBO yet. But he expects the storytelling speed established in Season 2 to continue.
