Helldivers 2is currently one of the most-played live service games of 2024. Fans everywhere are enjoying this game thoroughly. There are a bunch of reasons for this game’s success. Its easy-to-go nature allows players to start playing when they want, the other being the fact the game offers a co-op feature to play with friends.
Helldivers 2’sfanbase is growing, but its dynamic live nature means this game gets updated very often. Developers keep on adding and removing stuff to it, which means sometimes this game might get a bug or two. But a recent bug that has made its way into the game is pretty annoying, and developers have not found a fix for it yet.

Arrowhead Game Studios, the developer ofHelldivers 2,launched a brand-new patch for their sci-fi co-op shooter. This patch brought a bunch of new fixes to this game. From minor gameplay changes to numerous crash fixes, this new patch really tried to makeHelldivers 2a hassle-free experience for their fans.

One thing they did not realize was that somehow gamers would start facing an unexpected new problem with this title. Besides fixing the spawn rates for a bunch of planetary hazards and reducing the incidents of patrols spawning on players, this game has also started showing signs of a problem.
This problem is that this new patch did not bring any fixes for this game’s pre-existing friend request issues. For those unaware,Helldivers 2playerscan answer the call for help from other gamers having difficulty with its harder levels.
There’s even one player who takes pride in helping as many players as they can. They have already answered the call of more than 100 SOS beacons. They are at level 50, and take pride in the fact that instead of only playing and defeating enemies for other players, they also go ahead and educate players on some of the game’s obscure and unexplained mechanics.
But sometimes these things go to shambles when players aren’t able to send out friend requests to other players. This problem is more common among players who are sending requests to players on other platforms.
Some gamers are trying to find a workaround, while others have taken the issue to the game’s official discord. The game’s communitymanager, Twinbeard,has requested that players have some patience as developers work hard on fixing this issue.
“One of our top issues at the moment. We truly get that this is both sad and extremely frustrating for those of you who are affected. We ask for patience. No bad joke or military lingo this time, just this.”
There’s no update from Arrowhead Game Studio’s CEO as of yet, even though he is usually at the top of these issues. He always has something to say about the issues gamers face, and is sometimes seen interacting with fans in a friendly manner.

Anyway, here’s hoping they find a fix for this unusual issue as soon as possible, as a co-op game without friends feels somewhat stale.

While waiting for a legitimate fix for this game, players would not want to just sit and do nothing. Hence, some small tricks have been discovered to possibly fix this annoying issue.
