The war on bugs and automatons is a long and tiring one, so the community is asking developer Arrowhead to cut them some slack and make things a little more efficient with the addition of supply lines.
For those who might not know,Helldivers 2is all about working together as a collective community. New Major Orders instruct the player base to take charge of certain planets and liberate them of bugs or automatons, but there are clear paths set out that make these tasks more efficient. These are known as supply lines, and they allow the community to work together instead of players around the world attacking different planets at different times.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Just Solidified Helldivers 2 As My Game Of The Year
What was supposed to be one of the biggest releases of the year has quickly turned into a massive disappointment.
First and foremost, it’s important to say that Helldivers 2 is just a game. If you want to jump into a random planet and kill some bugs, go at it! You’ve paid your money and should be able to play however you like. But for those who want to participate in Helldivers 2’s gigantic galactic war, there should be an easier way to do so.

Helldivers 2 Players Want Supply Lines Added To The Game
Earlier this month, Reddit userghoxen published an informative postwhere they broke down how supply lines work.
While supply lines exist in-game, they’re not shown to players and how they work isn’t explained. Essentially, these hidden supply lines are what connects all of the planets in the galaxy together. They dictate which planets are available to liberate and which planets can be attacked by automatons. According to ghoxen, there’s no concrete path as to how bugs decide which planet to attack.

“When a planet is attacked by bugs (i.e. when a planet turns into a liberation campaign), all the planets that were previously linked to it would be cut-off, and players will no longer be able to access them,” the Reddit user explained.
Whenever you complete an operation on a planet, you contribute to the liberation progress of said planet. According toa separate post from ghoxen, approximately 100,000 players contribute around 5% progress per hour. I recommend reading both of the Reddit user’s posts, but they essentially say that players should focus on liberating planets that have the most players on.
Helldivers 2’s most recent Major Orderwas to liberate both Fori Prime and Zagon Prime, but Helldivers knew that the task was going to be impossible. As such, Reddit user WetTrumpet has used this Major Order as “the perfect example of why we need supply lines to be shown in-game.” The user believes if players had a better understanding of how supply lines work, we may have had a chance at liberating Fori Prime and Zagon Prime.
“I know this isn’t the highest of priorities with the current state of the game, but this needs to be looked at: players need to be aware of mechanics and statistics in-game as much as possible. Same goes, in my opinion, for things like weapon and armor stats,” the user said.
While others believe that the Major Order was always going to be a lost cause, it’s clear that the community would have more of a chance if Arrowhead included supply lines in-game. For those that want to see the supply lines, check out helldivers.io.
