The next Premium Warbond inHelldivers 2, Viper Commandos, will be released soon and it’s safe to say that the community is very excited about it. The Warbond features 2 new weapons and 3 new utilities but there is something that caught everyone’s attention: the K-2 Throwing Knife.
Without a doubt, the concept of throwing a knife at an enemy was popularized among gamers after John “Soap” MacTavish used it to kill General Shepherd at the end of 2009’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Since then, the throwing knife has been featured in every Call of Duty game.
Finally,Helldivers 2players will get to experience the throwing knife on the battlefield thanks to this Premium Warbond. Apart from the throwing knife, players will also get new armors, weapons, patterns, capes, emotes, player banners, and a player title.

The trailer forHelldivers 2‘s next Premium Warbond, Viper Commandos, is officially out onYouTubeand it seems like players will finally get a throwing knife in the game as a throwable. Fans expect to get some good melee or stealth kills with this new weapon but at the moment, it’s unclear whether the knife is recoverable after throwing.

The Warbond also features a new Assault Rifle, AR-23A Liberator Carbine, and a new Shotgun, SG-22 Bushwacker. For the first time, players can now get new skins for their hellpods, Exosuits, and Pelican-1. This premium Warbond will be available in the game on June 13th for 1,000 Super Credits.
Arrowhead is now focusing on quality over quantity
In aPlayStation Blogpost, Arrowhead explained its new approach to creating Premium Warbonds for Helldivers.The previous Warbond disappointed a lot of fans, and now, it seems like Arrowhead hopes to compensate by dropping a better Warbond. They wrote,
We are changing the arrangement of items in each Warbond to make room for new item types, and also higher quality armor and weapons. This will prevent us from simply adding more of everything, which can lead to weapons that feel redundant and uninteresting armor. It’s time to focus on quality over quantity.
Players should also prepare themselves forthe Illuminate’s invasionas there are speculations about the Illuminate using the newly formed black hole to travel from the past to the present. The community should expect an announcement from Arrowhead very soon.
Helldivers 2is available on Windows and PlayStation 5.
