The brothers are currently being hunted by Kathleen and her crew. While they know a way out of the city, there’s a possibility that the way will be dangerous. They approach Joel and Ellie for help clearing the way. Henry in the show is very similar to how he was in the game, with just a few key differences.
Who Is Henry In The Show?
Henry has several unique things about him in the show that aren’t present in the video game. He has a personal relationship with one of The Hunters, Kathleen. Since Kathleen is a new character, this is obviously a departure from the game. In the show, Henry’s brother is sick and needs medicine. to acquire this medicine, Henry gives up the leader of the resistance to FEDRA. This man happens to be Kathleen’s brother. When Kathleen’s brother dies at the hands of FEDRA, she takes over the resistance and begins a manhunt for Henry.

Henry in the show also doesn’t seem quite as capable or dangerous as he is in the game. He’s more reliant on Joel to handle any danger. Instead, he knows the layout of the city. This creates a good dynamic where the two men need one another to accomplish a common goal. Henry’s knowledge of the city also makes a lot of sense here because he lived in the QZ. Henry and Sam in the game seem to be passing through when they encounter The Hunters.
Who Is Henry In The Game?
In the game, Henry and his brother are just trying to survive. Henry loves his brother more than anything and doesn’t want to get caught by The Hunters. While The Hunters are searching for anyone they can find, they aren’t specifically looking for Henry and Sam. Henry also has plans for when he and Sam escape the city. He’s going to meet up with a group and join The Fireflies. This differs from the show, where the primary objective is to get out of the city with no direction afterward.
Henry is likable, he’s a good brother, and he always puts Sam first. This even causes friction when Henry and Sam abandon Joel and Ellie as The Hunters chase them down. When the four reunite, Joel is rightfully angry, but knows he would have done the same thing to protect Ellie. Henry meets the same demise in the show as he does the game, with events playing out almost exactly the same way.
