Since both the universes, i.e. Guillermo del Toro’sPacific Rimuniverse and theGodzillaMonsterverse, share a focus on Kaiju in common, a possible collision between the two helmed by del Toro could be nothing short of pure bliss.

The film would include the master Jaegers from thePacific Rimverse who would defend humanity from the destruction by the Kaiju Godzilla from the Monsterverse, bringing about an epic Kaiju-Jaeger crossover.
While the massive Jaegers could be made even more advanced in this crossover by providing them with weapons and defense systems never explored before, Kaiju Godzilla’s game could also be boosted by enhancing and developing the creature’s emotions and intelligence.

As for the storyline,Guillermo del Torocould plot a story where an unexpected cosmic disturbance lands in the world ofPacific Rim, bringing about a vast range of even more intelligent and formidable Kaiju Godzilla and similar creatures than ever before.
For this, he could up his game by giving a more innovative design to the creatures before pushing them into his lore of mythology surrounding both the Kaijus as well as the Jaegers. This could also provide a more emotional depth to the story.

Thus, to save the world from the ever-rising threat of Godzilla and similar Kaijus who have developed a mysterious connection to the rifts, the world will have to put forward some of its most intimidating bands of ever-more advanced Jaegers.

How Guillermo del Toro’s Film Could Save The Monsterverse
While 2014’sGodzillaand 2017’sKong: Skull Islandbrought about some of the most terrific plotlines and characters for worldwide audiences from the Monsterverse, the movies that followed couldn’t quite keep up to the mark.
Thanks to the constantly declining critics’ reception of the movies, especiallyGodzilla: King of the Monstersas well as the not-so-good storylines and visual designs and detailings, the Monsterverse currently stands in a precarious state.
However, Guillermo del Toro’s film could quite literally save the Monsterverse, if designed and helmed carefully. Renowned for his iconic vision and unique style, the filmmaker could bring in something new to the Monster Universe.
Then there’s his innovativeness when it comes to his characters and storyline which could provide something that fans have been wanting to see for so long, especially with their much-awaitedPacific Rimcrossover into the Monsterverse.
Lastly, Guillermo del Toro’s movie could provide a richer and more emotionally resonating and developed storyline as compared to the recent films from the Monster Universe, creating a cinematic spectacle that most have been waiting to see from the Monsterverse.
