A fan-remake version of Rockstar’sGrand Theft Auto: San Andreashas been developed by a group of modders, and although it won’t be available for download as a functional mod, it’s worth gorgeous the game looks in Unreal Engine 4.
ArcadiaSquad is a team of passionate modders who have put a lot of effort into reconstructing the map ofGTA San Andreaswith modern-day visuals for machinima purposes. Unfortunately, the remake isn’t a functional mod, which means it will never be launched on any platform. That said, it’s still fun to watch how they’ve added so many incredible details to a popular 6th-gen title.
The footage was already shared by the team behind the remake project, but Take-Two Interactive shut down the video due to copyright issues. The video above has been shared by a different YouTube channel with a fake title, introducing the game as a remake for PS5, which is definitely wrong.
Originally launched in 2004,Grand Theft Auto: San Andreasis one of the greatest open-world games in the all-time history of video games, setting new standards to its genre. Personally, it’s my most favoriteGTAentry up until now, and I don’t think it would be changed in the future. For the first time in the series,GTA San Andreasdelivered three different cities representing Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, three important cities on the western side of the US.
Aside from its vast world,Grand Theft Auto San Andreasexperienced an incredibly successful launch on consoles and PC. According to a report by Kotaku, the game has reached 27.5 million copies sales worldwide overall. Over 70% of the sales are related to the PlayStation 2 version of the game, which madeSan Andreasthe best-selling game of the console during its lifecycle.
Rockstar Games is currently working on the next entry of theGTAseries, and according to the rumors,it’s in the early stages of development.
