Bloomberg’s Takashi Mochizuki reported that if demand is high enough, the four developers of indie gameGnosiawill be considering releasing an English version of their game on Switch.
In an article, Takashi Mochizuki explained why the four developers of Petit Depotto releasedGnosiaon PlayStation Vita despite the console’s slow death. Petit Depotto’s leader Toru Kawakatsu explained it was all part of a strategy. In order to get the game singled out and recognized. It worked. Many ADV, bishoujo game ports, by Entergram most notably, are still releasing even now on PS Vita. Other niche genres like Otome games have long since moved to Nintendo Switch. But even then,Gnosiawas an alien among all.
The article also tells usGnosia’s Switch sales were higher than expected.

The Switch version ofGnosiaalso includes various improvements: a backlog, one-hand playstyle support, higher quality soundtrack and graphics, and a rebalancing of the game overall.
Long story short,Gnosiais a Role-Playing Game and an Adventure game based onMafia, also known asLoup-Garou / The Werewolves, but it’s also much more than that. I took the time to thoroughly explain whatGnosiais about and why the game is so intriguing in a past article we published when the Switch version was announced. Please check it out here.Â
Gnosiaalso won the best indie game award at theFamitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2019 held in April 2020. I definitely wantGnosiato get an English version. I’ll keep trying to put the spotlight on the game as much as I can. If not for the pandemic shuffling things around, I would have probably already made an explanatory video with the Switch version. I’ll be sure to do something as soon as I can. Like Ulala would say, stay tuned.
