In this iconic scene fromScream QueensSeason 1 Episode 2, actorsGlen PowellandNick Jonasplayed Chad Radwell and Boone Clemens, respectively. As the latter asked his friend if he could lay beside him because he was scared, Radwell agreed.
Emma Roberts’ Chanel Oberlin walked in and spotted the two men sleeping next to each other. After she berated him about the situation, Powell’s character told Chanel:
I’m sorry everybody wants to have s*x with me. Okay? I can’t help that. News flash, Chanel: I’m hot. Everybody wants to get with this. Women, men, animals in the zoo, plants, probably. And if you can’t handle that, then you’re just gonna have to go, ‘cause I am breaking up with you.
He proceeded to tell her the reasons why he’s ditching her: “Because you are a spoiled, homophobic little girl” who could not accept how hot Radwell is. The entire confrontation was hilarious and every line was uttered with so much conviction. Radwell and Clemens’ earlier conversation was pure laughter as well.
This scene alone proved that Powell has an edge in making comedic acts. He starred in many more comedies afterScream Queens, but none was as memorable as his stint in the Fox television series. In fact, fans could easily notice that studios are banking on his appearance rather than his true acting flair.
