Venti is a5-Star Anemo characterthat is always a great addition to your team as a Sub-DPS, and even sometimes as Support. He has very strong talents that interact well with a multitude of Elements, so we have put together a guide to help you build him in the best way possible.
Venti’s Best Builds & Artifact Sets
Venti can either be built as a Sub-DPS or Support,but he is best suited to the Sub-DPS role due to the strength of his Elemental Burst and its ability to increase Elemental Absorption damage. This means that he works well with a multitude of other Elements, including Cryo, Electro, Pyro, and Hydro. These Elements can be used to create a Swirl effect and keep constant damage on nearby enemies. Here is how you shouldbuild your artifactsto effectively increase his Elemental Burst damage.
4-Set Of Viridescent Venerer
Venti is strongest when you focus on building up his Elemental Burst to increase Swirl DMG. With a 2-Set of Viridescent Venerer, Venti will receive an Anemo DMG Bonus of 15 percent, while a 4-Set will increase his Swirl DMG by 60 percent. It also will decrease the opponent’s Elemental RES to the element that is currently in the Swirl reaction by 40 percent for 12 seconds. This set makes it perfect for building up Venti’s Swirl reaction, as it will increase the base DMG as well as any Element that is present within the Swirl. Focusing on Elemental Mastery will help to increase the Elemental Absorption damage in Venti’s Swirl effect. This means you will be able to use your other team members' Elements to your advantage, where the strength of their Element will increase significantly when it is the active Element in Venti’s Swirl. If you want to make sure that you are able to keep using his Elemental Burst as much as possible, focus on Energy Recharge in your Substats. Venti already has a great base Energy Recharge, but you will want to increase this even further.
Venti’s Best 5-Star & 4-Star Weapons
Venti is a character that can easily be built with either 5-Star or 4-Star weapons and be just as effective either way. Since he is best used as a Sub-DPS, focusing on the Bonus Effect of the weapon is much more important than the Base ATK of the weapon itself. Here are your best options when choosing the right weapon for Venti.
5-Star Weapon: Elegy For The End
Elegy for the End is the weapon made for Venti, so if you have been able to obtain it in past Banners, then it is a great 5-Star option for him. It will increase his Energy Recharge by a base stat of 12 percent. This will work well if you are wanting to use his Elemental Burst as much as possible and keep Venti’s Energy Recharge as high as possible. Its Bonus Skill includes increased Elemental Mastery by 60. You will also gain sigils when dealing damage with Venti’s Elemental Skill or Burst every 0.2 seconds. When you reach 4 sigils, they will all be consumed and Elemental Mastery will increase again by 100 and ATK will increase by 20 percent for 12 seconds.Use this weapon if you are wanting to increase Energy Recharge if you focused more on Elemental Mastery in your artifact build.
4-Star Weapons: Fading Twillight And The Stringless
As a more direct replacement for Elegy for the End, Fading Twilight is a solid choice. It will offer Venti a base increase to Energy Recharge of 6.7 percent. Its Bonus Skill has three different states: Evengleam, Afterglow, and Dawnblaze. Each of these states increases DMG by 6 percent, 10 percent, and 14 percent. When an attack hits an opponent, the weapon will switch to the next state, which can be switched every 7 seconds.This weapon is perfect for increasing Venti’s Energy Recharge to get the most use out of his Elemental Burst while also keeping DMG up.

The Stringless is Venti’s best 4-Star weapon as it gives him a base boost of 36 to his Elemental Mastery. Its Bonus Skill includes an increase to Elemental Skill and Burst DMG by 24 percent. This weapon is always available on the Standard Banner and available on most Limited-Time Banners, so if you have saved up some Primogems, you should definitely try to pull for this weapon.It is a great way to increase the strength of Venti’s Elemental Burst and improve the Swirl effect.
Free-To-Play 4-Star Weapons: Prototype Crescent
If you are looking for a fully Free-To-Play option, stick to the Prototype Crescent. While this is not the most ideal weapon for Venti, it is a decent option for those looking to save Primogems for characters rather than weapons. It offers a base increase to ATK by 6 percent, and will increase Movement Speed by 10 percent and ATK by 36 percent for 10 seconds when an Aimed Shot hits a weak point.While increasing his ATK stat won’t necessarily increase the DMG of the Swirl effect from his Elemental Burst, it will give him a boost to the DMG of his Normal and Charged weapon attacks.

Best 5-Star Team
The Freeze reaction is one of the best Elemental Reactions in the game, so pairing together Cryo andHydro 5-Star characterswith Venti is your best bet. He can use his Elemental Burst to Swirl together Hydro and Cryo to freeze enemies.
