Shortly after the removal of Elliot Gindi’s voice from the game,Genshin Impacthas now revealed Zachary Gordon as Tinghari’s new English voice actor. Starting with update 3.6 on April 12, Tinghari will descend on the world of Teyvat with his new voice.In case you missed out,HoYoverse decided to replace Elliot Gindi’s voicedue to the sexual harassment allegations against the original voice actor. Players rallied for the removal of his voice from Genshin Impact earlier this year after he was accused of grooming. The developer team then issued a statement regarding the character’s voice within the game, saying that it was on the lookout for a new actor.

On April 10, data miners revealed that the new voice actor will be Zachary Gordon, based on the information received from in-game files. But HoYoverse wasted no time in announcing Zachary Gordon as the replacement for Tinghari’s voice, with players showing support for him on social media. The voice actor also said via Twitter that he is “honored and proud to be a part of the Genshin family.”
Players took to Reddit to voice their excitement for the new voice actor, with some saying that it will be nice to hear how Zachary voices their favorite Tighnari lines. They also claimed that the important thing is that HoYoverse acted quickly to find a new voice, with some urging unsatisfied players not to make a fuss.
Zachary Gordon was previously a cast member of How I Met Your Mother and All of Us Back, and he has been involved in a few animated projects like Madagascar 2 Africa and Robot Chicken. He gained recognition with his role as Greg Heffley in the original trilogy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Gordon also appeared in Good Trouble as Tate Wilson, Dead of Summer as Jason Cohen, and The Search for Santa Paws as Paws.
Players won’t have to wait too long to hear Tighnari’s new voice within the game, as the update 3.6 will release on April 12.It features two new bannerswith reruns of several popular characters, new weapon and artifact sets, plus character event wishes for Baizhu and Kaveh.
