The online video gameFortniteis known to collaborate with some of the giants of the entertainment industry. And this time, they decided to team up with the animated series of the 2000’s,Avatar: The Last Airbender. The game released a bunch of new characters, weapons, equipment, and more.

The v29.20 update forFortnite, which was released on April 9, includes skins for iconicAvatarcharacters like Aang, Katara, Zuko, and Toph Beifong. The interesting thing is the protagonist of the series, Aang, has got two skins in the game. Players can purchase unique weapons, character skins, and a variety of other items for V-Bucks.
However, it seems that Epic Games, the developers ofFortnite, have forgotten one important character from the series who has been a part of Aang’s team since day one. This character is none other than Sokka, Katara’s brother. Although they forgot the character, they didn’t forget to add his weapon which only adds insult to injury forAvatar: The Last Airbenderfans.

FortniteForgets Sokka’s Skin But Adds His Weapon
Fortniterecently released a crossover withAvatar: The Last Airbenderin its latest v29.20 update of the game. However, they made a massive mistake by not including Sokka in the list of characters introduced. Sokka is one of the most important characters in the series.
“They did my goat Sokka dirty”: Fortnite Fans are Already Complaining about the Avatar: The Last Airbender Collaboration
He has been a part of the show since the first episode, when he and his sister Katara went in search of fish and discovered Aang stranded in an iceberg. He has been with Aang on every adventure since then. Fans were not happy when they got to know that Sokka had been excluded from the list, and Aang, on the other hand, had got two skins.
The more depressing thing is that Epic Games has added his weapon, the Space Sword, which he forged himself, using ore from a fallen meteorite. His space sword was probably his strongest weapon and it was a huge upgrade from his boomerang. In the game, it works as a harvesting tool that can be used to gather resources by breaking structures.

Fans Are Not Happy WithFortniteNot Adding Sokka’s Skin
An X account by the username@ShiinaBRshared this update aboutFortnite’s mistake on the social networking site, and fans were not happy with it. Granted, that Sokka hasalways been a comedic elementof the series and had many jokes played on him, but this disappointed fans a lot.
Sokka’s fans came forward to support the character and expressed their sadness for not being able to play the game as their favorite character from the series.

Some even pointed out that Sokka is one of the main characters who carry the series, but is always left out.

While the fans are disappointed with the game’s update, there is still a chance that they can introduce Sokka in the second phase of the crossover event which will start on July 10, 2025. This event will reveal the new Elements Pass in the game, and maybe some additional new characters.
