One Xbox Series X|S exclusive that’s soon headed to the PS5 will be getting a physical version, though oddly enough, it’s waiting on the PS5 version’s release before it’s available on disc format for its home console.
The game is none other than Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which wasconfirmedlast week to be headed to the PS5 sometime this summer.

Hellblade Franchise Headed To PlayStation And Even Nintendo Platforms
The confirmation comes from the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB), which has listed physical versions of Hellblade 2 that will be handled by Limited Run Games (not Microsoft), and it confirms it’ll be available in disc form for both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The game’s rating summary is nothing new given it’s been out for the Xbox Series and PC for quite some time, but for those who haven’t played it, it reads, “This is an adventure game in which players assume the role of Senua, a Pict warrior trying to save her people from Viking oppressors. From a third-person perspective, players explore Icelandic villages/vistas while battling various enemies (e.g., Vikings, ghouls, cultists). Players use swords to slash at enemies in frenetic melee combat, which is highlighted by blood-splatter effects, cries of pain, and impalement finishing moves. Impaling deaths are often depicted; one distant scene depicts a villain cutting off a man’s arm. Cutscenes depict occasional decapitation and/or dismemberment, and some environments contain bloodied, decaying corpses and severed limbs. The word “f**k” appears in the game.”

What makes this tidbit even more interesting is that a second listing has also surfaced (via VGC) that mentions Limited Run is also planning a physical version of the original game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, for the Nintendo Switch!
New Free-to-Play Game Available On PS5 Is Getting Positivie Feedback From Gamers On PSN Store
You need to clear 22 GB of space on your PS5 and you’re good to go.
What’s strange is that Microsoft, the owner of Hellblade developer Ninja Theory, isn’t handling the physical version but has passed it off to Limited Run Games, a boutique video game publisher that usually focuses on indie games.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2has no release date yet, but when it debuts on the PS5, it will offer “new features.” Whatever these new features are, they will be delivered to Xbox and PC owners as a free title update. As for the first Hellblade coming to the Switch 2, it shouldn’t be that surprising as well given Microsoft’s new multi-platform strategy.
Last week, wereportedon how Xbox ports are expected to drop on the Switch 2 this year, and the first Hellblade could be the first of many former Xbox-exclusive titles to come.
