According to a new report byDeadline, Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard are all set to feature in the movie adaptation ofFive Night at Freddy’s. As of now, it is not known what characters these two actors will be portraying.
The production for the movie still hasn’t started and is expected to kick off in February 2023 in New Orleans. Just a couple of months ago, Emma Tammi, who is famous for her work in The Wind also joined the project as the director.

Five Nights at Freddy’s was released back in 2014, and since then it has become a massive cult hit in the horror genre. Players start off their journey as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. However, the innocuous job turns horrifying pretty soon. With the place surrounded by deadly animatronics, the task of survival becomes creepily arduous. The game series has garnered a lot of popularity in the streaming community, with the last iteration released exactly a year ago.
Hutcherson is famous for his work inThe Hunger Games, having starred in multiple installments of the franchise. He has also worked in some highly anticipated upcoming titles, such as The Beekeeper and 57 Seconds. Lillard has been a part of the classicScooby-Doomovie series and has had notable appearances in SLC Punk! and The Descendants as well.
With the production yet to kick off, it is safe to say that the movie is still far away from release. With the likes of Emma Tammi, Scott Cawthon, and Seth Cuddeback at the helm of scriptwriting, fans are expecting a thriller when the movie materializes. Until then, it will be interesting to learn which of the iconic characters from the games will be making their way to the movie.
