Fire Emblem: Engageis a turn-based RPG, the newest in the Fire Emblem Series. Started on the Famicom, the series is popular for its mechanics, story, and diverse world. Fire Emblem: Engage has a wide cast of characters, along with some throwbacks to past series used as mechanics to follow the ‘Engage’ piece of the name. With so much to put into each character to make them perfect for the battlefield, choosing what’s right can be a bit confusing.

With so many classes, upgrades, and weaponry to choose from, there really isn’t a perfect build. Each character can be built in a variety of ways to match different play styles and team strategies. When a character dies in Fire Emblem: Engage, they’re not coming back. There are limited chances to revive cast members, so every fight counts. This means having the strongest characters to put no one at risk of dying.
Who Is Veyle?
Veyle is a mysterious figure that seems to appear when least expected. First seen in Chapter 4: A Land in Bloom, she’s not joining the team all the way until Chapter 22: The Fell & Divine. On a quest to find her long-lost sibling, she’s naive and wants to meet people and make friends.

Base Build & Stat Growth
Veyle is a Fallen Child. She is the only character that can be a Fallen Child, with this the class is different from in battle. She uses Daggers and Tomes in this class and is a Dragon unit. This means that she can transform herself or pieces of her body to match with this. This can be adapted into many different playing styles and prove to be very powerful. This also means she’ll be able to use a lot more upgrades when accessing Emblems, too.

Veyle has a low build stat, going along with her Fallen Child class. This will remain low, rarely changing much at all. For what she doesn’t have in tanking his, she makes up for with magic and dexterity. She won’t do as well in the front due to her low constitution, if so only airborne to avoid some of the physical attacks that might be launched towards her. The dragon unit aspect of her character will give a lot of unique builds that only Veyle can replicate.

Good Classes For Veyle
The original class Veyle has upon joining the team works with her stats and abilities, making her a pretty useful character immediately. Withher unique class, she’s the only one that can hold Obscuritè and Misericorde. These form her stat growth and base stats and help her hammer through enemies. Especially those who wear armor and high resistance in general. This can also help support other team members, as she won’t be doing any work at the front. Her defense is too low, mixed with the low build as well, she’s not good at handling loads of enemies by herself.
Recommended Emblems for Veyle:
For weapons, Veyle doesn’t have too many options in the Fallen Child class. There’s the Obscuritè and Misericorde. Those are both really solid weapons with Veyle in that class that offers a lot of good upgrades and fighting mechanics. But the Thunder weapon can also work, being used for a three-tile attack.
Sliding into a healer role, the ‘High Priest’ class can suit her well. Using magic, she’s great at supporting from the back of the team. Especially when using front-line heavier characters, depending on the enemy, sometimes they can find themselves in a hard fight. Veyle is a good option to help make sure no one’s getting hurt.
Recommended Emblems for Veyle in High Priest:
Fire, Thunder, and Wind all make good attacks. Thunder being a three-tile attack, and wind specializing in flying units, all have their own unique traits. The Fire attack is more general to magic attacks and High Priests. Heal and Shielding Art are also really useful on the battlefield. Healing makes her an amazing healer and utilizing that magic stat, and Shielding Art boosts Defense and allows her to use Break on other magic-using enemies in her path.
Gifting Veyle
Getting Veyle leveled up for combat is a challenge without gifting. Veyle has her own likes and dislikes based on her personal preferences. Giving a gift that she likes will boost the most, as one she dislikes won’t really boost much at all. In fact, it’ll leave Veyle a bit puzzled. The battlefield is dangerous, but with Veyle on the team, it becomes easier to fight through the difficulties ahead, that is if she’s properly ready to go. This can be very important specifically to Veyle, due to her poor defense and build, if she’s not ready or under the level of her enemies, she could be in a lot of trouble. Having her be susceptible to hits and being a healer makes her a big target to those who oppose her.
Veyle’s Favorites Items Are:
Veyle doesn’t have any items she particularly dislikes. This also goes in hand with her favorite list being quite short. Items that aren’t her favorites will just do less and garner a mediocre reaction from Veyle. From her favorites, she enjoys fun books, flowers, and various small things. Every character will like the Spirit Gem specifically, so no matter who is given the Spirit Gem, it will be a favored item.
