Fallout 76’sAppalachian wilderness hides a greater, mutated wildlife that the player can discover and fight by just playing the game. However, hidden deep within the most dangerous parts of the overworld are creatures known as Cryptids, monsters stemming from both fictional pre-war history and even real-life folklore originating from West Virginia. One such Cryptid, the Sheepsquatch, is a dangerous, hulking monster that the player can only find in the most specific of circumstances.

Here is a guide on the handful of sure-fire ways that the player can follow to find the elusive Sheepsquatch within the game. Just make sure you’re not putting yourC.A.M.P.down somewhere it can sneak up on you.
Random Encounters
The Sheepsquatch, like any other entity within the game, has a preselected table of potential spawn locations scattered throughout the map. These random encounters can be quite deadly, especially for low-level players stumbling upon them by complete chance and being decimated by their long spines;who knew exploring the wastes could be so dangerous?
Here are all the potential locations the Sheepsquatch can spawn at for the player to encounter. However, keep in mind these are at random, so if one spot doesn’t have the Cryptid, try another.

Scenic Overlook
The Sheepsquatch spawns south of this location on a winding road.
The Sparse, Overgrown, & Creekside Sundew Grove
Three Sundew Grove locations in the Cranberry Bog biome, the Sheepsquatch can be found in all three patrolling the overgrown Sundew.
Braxson’s Quality Medical Supplies
Deep in the eastern fringes of the Mire, the Sheepsquatch can be found patrolling the warehouse.
Overseer’s Log House, South of Welch
Found fighting either the Scorched or Mole Miners, the Sheepsquatch can be found by a house leading to Welch on the side of the road;there is an Overseer’s log inside the house.
The Sheepsquatch thankfully doesn’t spawn inside the enclosed quarters of Vault 96, but outside down a short cliff.

Top of the World
Can be found around the Ski Resort, the Sheepsquatch spawns around this area.
Public Events
There are only 2 Public Events that the Sheepsquatch can spawn in, but only one has a 100% spawn rate with every attempt.
Event: Free Range
The Free Range Event has you defending and escorting three lost Brahmin back to their farm, that either being the Aaronholt Homestead, Delano Grange, and Beckwith Farm. This Public Event can be randomly started at anytime in the world as long as someone visits or discover these three locations. The Event is largely straightforward, with you defending the Brahmin from a random assortment of enemies on the path back to the farm.Once the Brahmin are escorted back to their farm, either one or even two Legendary Sheepsquatch can spawn as the event’s boss fight. This Event will always spawn a Sheepsquatch boss fight for the player, so keep an eye out for this Event if it prompts.
Event: Project Paradise
The more complicated, and not as sure-fire way of making the Sheepsquatch spawn, the Project Paradise Event has the player defending creatures from deadly enemies in the secret underground lab under the Arktos Pharma location. Unlike the Free Range Event, you’re not as much escorting but rather defending creatures from increasingly dangerous enemies in three spots around the lab; Habitat A, B, and C.The only way to get the Sheepsquatch to spawn is to deposit the most food in the Habitat A trough to trigger the spawn of an Alpha enemy, of which an Alpha Sheepsquatch has a chance of spawning.Otherwise, a Grafton Monster or a Fog Crawler will spawn instead.
