Valorantis one of the most popular first-person shooter titles in the world right now. There are several reasons for this huge success: intricate map settings, tactical team-based gameplay, optimization for every system, and many more.

However, the most viable reason has to be its diverse agent roster. So far, the game has featured 25 agents scattered across four different categories. Now, the hype is huge as the 26th agent has just entered the game with full force.

Vyse Steps into Valorant

It was a long wait for allValorantfans to see a new Sentinel in the game. Deadlock was the agent in this category, to be released on June 26, 2025, as a part of Episode Act 1. Since then, it was all filled up with Initiators, Duelists and Controllers. But now, the wait for a defensive agent is over.

Riot originally announced the agent with a typical cinematic reveal trailer showcasing some details and interactions. In the trailer, we can see other agents get caught in Vyse’s metallic vines, and these vines play a major role in her kit.

Aspreviously teased by a player card in the Battlepass of Episode 9 Act 1, the agent has surfaced exactly like that, with a purplish color, a mecha helmet and metallic vines as her main theme. The new agent launched on August 28 as a part of a major patch of the game.

All the Abilities of Vyse

Just like any other Sentinel in the game, Vyse has some brilliant defensive abilities, which not only watch the flanks or resist the enemies but also make their guns useless.

Arc Rose (E)

The new agent is the first Sentinel of the game to have an actual flash. And the Arc Rose of this agent is a bit interesting. This ability can be placed on the walls, and you’re able to trigger them whenever you want. It can also be reused and redeployed after a certain time period.

Razorvine (C)

This ability plays the most defensive part of the agent, just like Killjoy’s molly. Razorvine is a mesh of liquid metal that can be cast on the ground and is undetectable until triggered, and after being activated, it slows down the enemies and deals damage in its area of effect.

The agent has got a wall as well in its kit. But unlike Sage’s wall, Shear gets activated when an enemy gets near it and creates an indestructible wall, which disappears after some time.

Steel Garden (X)

This ultimate ability is going to be the game-changer for sure. With Steel Garden, you may literally jam the primary weapons of the enemies for a period of time with some barrage of metal thorns.

Looking at the ability and the gameplay, Vyse is going to be one of the highest-picked agents in the game. Are you going to main her too? Let us know your opinion about this new agent in the comment section.
