After Telltale’s magnificent work withTales from the Borderlands, Gearbox tried to continue with the formula, giving us a title that, while entertaining,is far from being as innovative and engaging as the series has accustomed us to.
I wouldn’t say it’s a poor game, butit’s the weakestBorderlands. Its characters and sense of humor are good, though the experience fails to hold its own in any of the other areas.

As a fan of theBorderlandsseries, I must admitTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsdisappointed me a little.
While I consider it a good game, it suffers from the opposite ofNew Tales from the Borderlands, in thateverything related to the plot and its characters is lukewarm.
In terms of gameplay,its fusion with the concepts of Dungeons and Dragons is excellent, favoring new concepts and ideas that fit well with the series' formula.
However, these lose steam as the campaign advances, suffering from repetitiveness while lacking the characters and sense of humor that often balance the scale in other entries in the franchise.
It’s a very fun titlebuta step below the quality of the mainBorderlandsinstallments.

The developer crafted a hilarious and engaging story by including iconic characters and delving deeper into the franchise’s already outstanding universe.
If you are a player who values gameplay above all else, I wouldn’t recommend it, but if you can get past its mechanical limitations, it’s easy to fall in love with it.
In fact,I dare say it’s Telltale’s most refined work, not only for its quality but also for what it means for the franchise it belongs to.
I know it’s bold to say so, given the existence of other notable works from the studio, but that reflects its remarkable quality.

Except for the antagonists, who are the weakest of all the main entries,the game is an overall improvement. The shooting, mobility, missions, bosses, and loot are the most notable in the entire series.
The only reason it’s not higher on the list is because, from a narrative perspective, the game plays it very safe in many respects, and there were (and still are) quite a few technical hiccups to endure.
While playing,I felt like it was merely more Borderlands. This is great, of course, but given it’s a spirited franchise, I was hoping Gearbox Software would dare to do something bolder.
