How To Craft Grappling Hook
Before you can craft a Grappling Hook, you need tobuild a Workbench. So, cut a bunch of trees to get Wood Logs and craft someStringsto build your first Workbench through the character’s personal craft station on the menu. Now, if you interact with the Workbench, you will find Grappling Hook.
It requires3Metal Scraps, that you can collect from by destroying metal pods inside the altar where you woke up at the beginning of the game. Then you will need10 Shroud Spores, which can be collected bylooting the blue-ish creatures inside the Shrouded zonesafter killing them. Finally, you need some Strings again.
Once you craft Grappling Hook, enter the menu, and head to the Character tab. Here, you can equip the Grappling Hook through its dedicated slot on the bottom left. Now, if you get close enough to the swingable area on top of the Braelyn Bridge, you will get a button prompt. Hold it down, and your character will swing over the gap and land on the other side of the bridge.
Aside from the bridge, the Grappling Hook will prove its value when solving platforming puzzles inside the rest of the Flame Shrines. So, if you want to unlock new fast travel spots on the map, you must equip a Grappling Hook.
