What we are essentially talking about here is the hint given by a particular item inElden Ring. Helphen’s Steeple is a greatsword that is supposedly inspired by the black steeple of Helphen.

FromSoftware has not disclosed much information on what exactly Helphen stands for, however, it remains speculated that it might be referring to a church or a tree. As mentioned before, the Helphen’s Steeple is patterned after the black steeple of the Helphen, which is the lampwood that guides those who have died in the spirit world.The item description further states how the lamplight is similar to the grace of The Lands Between, and can only be seen and followed by those who faced their death valorously while fighting in a battle.
