Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword is a Boss weapon and drops after you have defeatedMagma Wyrm Makar in Ruin-Strewn Precipicein northern Liurnia of the Lakes. Once you have defeated the boss, this weapon will drop for you.
Magma Wyrm Makar has a high health pool but most of his attacks are transparent leaving you with plenty of attack windows. If you wait for the attack opportunity and keep your distance when he does his annoying magma attacks, you can easily beat him.
