Character wearing the Fire Prelate armor set (Elden Ring)

13Fire Prelate Armor Set

Heavy in size and frame, theFire Prelate Setis one you’ll unlikely come across. The armor offers great defenses, especially against fire damage. It’s known as the attire of the Fire Prelates, the commander of the Fire Monks.

You can get your hands on this set by killing a Fire Prelate wearing the armor. The Fire Prelate in front of the Guardians' Garrison at the Mountaintops of the Giants will be your best chance at grabbing it. While still a pretty rare chance, having this item isn’t impossible.

12Staff Of The Guilty

This Glintstone staff is an excellent weapon for Blood Thorn Sorcery. It was fashioned from a withered sapling and turned the blood of sacrifices into Glintstone. Besides boosting your thorn sorcery, theStaff of the Guiltycauses slight blood loss buildup.

Obtaining this staff requires a lot of attention to detail. It’s dropped from Thorn Sorcerers holding the glowing staff. Other enemies wield a smokey staff, which you should ignore. You can find these sorcerers in either Guardians' Garrison or Fort Laiedd. Although, the latter location is the rarer path to take.

11Halo Scythe

While it will take you quite a bit of time to finally get theHalo Scythe, it’s well worth the headache. The Halo Scythe is one of the best Bleed weapons in Elden Ring, showcasing a deadly Reaper move-set that results in noticeable Blood loss buildup.

For those with hybrid Faith based builds, the Halo Scythe is a perfect weapon. Dropped by Lesser Cleanrot Knights wielding it near the Heart of Aeonia, and Lesser Cleanrot Knights in Elphael, Brace of Haligtree, the experience of getting this Reaper is an exciting journey.

10Raging Wolf Armor Set

It’s not surprising that the attire seen in cinematic trailers for Elden Ring would be an uncommon armor set. As the default tarnished look, the Raging Wolfarmor set is the bestbecause of its powerful defenses.

It’s important to keep in mind that it can only be dropped after completing the Volcano Manor questline. You’ll find it by going to Volcano Manor, talking to Recusant Bernahl, and completing contracts. He’ll ask you to invade and kill NPCs near Leyndell Royal Capital. From there, one of the dead NPCs drops the armor.

9Magma Blade

This fiery curved sword is not the greatest in terms of power. As cool as it looks, theMagma Bladedeals a little below one hundred damage per hit. Regardless, it’s a fantastic weapon for defense. It’s also a good weapon for prioritizing strength and fire damage.

Because of its low drop rate, you’re never guaranteed to get the Magma Blade. Being dropped occasionally, you can simply hope to get lucky in wielding this sword. Farming this weapon involves you countlessly killing the Man-Serpents holding the Magma Blade in Volcano Manor.

8Brass Shield

When it comes to rare items in Elden Ring, theBrass Shieldis an interesting one. It can either be easily obtained nearly at the start of your playthrough or take you an agonizing amount of time before it’s finally dropped.

Covered in brass and adorned with gorgeous embellishments, this Medium Shield is the strongest one in the game. Found from Godrick Soldiers and Raya Lucaria Soldiers, it’s dropped from enemies carrying the Brass Shield, which, in theory, sounds like it would be a walk in the park to find. Surprisingly, it’s far from it.

7Warhawk’s Talon

Thin and Lightweight, theWarhawk’s Talonis a rare Straight Sword that deals a noticeable amount of damage. Unleashing swift attacks, it’s easy to spam swings onto your enemy and quickly become victorious.

Compared to other rare items in Elden Ring, finding the Warhawk’s Talon won’t come from enemies your own size. You must defeat Warhawks flying around in Stormveil Castle with mobs of them immediately coming at you. It’s rare that your first kill will drop this weapon, so it’s best to be prepared to brace for intense combat. Dual-wielding this weapon looks incredible, but it makes for an even harder grind.

6Octopus Head

TheOctopus Headis a helm with defensive properties, mainly in immunity. Like other helms, this one changes appearance when put on. It’s a bizarre and quirky cosmetic that completely wraps around your head.

It takes patience to come by this item. Getting your hands on the Octopus Head requires you to kill Land Octopuses (not to be confused with Giant Land Octopuses). You can find these enemies in three main areas: near Iron Fist Alexander’s first encounter, southwest of the Temple Quarter grace point in Liurnia of the Lakes, and north of Siofra River.

5Envoy’s Greathorn

As a colossal weapon,Envoy’s Greathornis terrific for dealing huge amounts of Holy damage. It’s also a weapon that requires a high level of strength. Described as a fanned golden horn, it packs a punch with blows surely felt by whoever is hit by it.

If you’re centering on a strength build, Envoy’s Greathorn is a magnificent weapon to have. An Envoy Giant in Miquella’s Haligtree drops this weapon, but it isn’t easy to find them. Beginning at the Haligtree grace, you must go through twists and turns to get to the lone Giant.

4Cleanrot Spear

There was a time that theCleanrot Spearwas so difficult to obtain that players were unsure where to find it. It’s anincredible weapon for PvP, its dual-wielding abilities easily catching your foe off-guard. The Cleanrot Spear also sprouts a palisade of golden spears ahead of you.

This weapon drops from Lesser Cleanrot Knights near the Heart of Aeonia, as well as ghostly Cleanrot Knights in the War-Dead Catacombs. If you also find yourself in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree, you can get your hands on it from the spear-wielding Cleanrot Knights lurking there.
