EA Sportshave officially confirmed that 35 leagues are going to be present in FC 26. For now, only 30 leagues have been revealed. So there should be at least 5 leagues yet to be announced, and theReddit communityis getting into the guessing game in trying to figure out which competitions will make the cut.

Playing random matches is great, but what about something with a little more substance?
The Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Major League Soccer headline the roster alongside women’s leagues such as the Barclays Women’s Super League which is already apart of FC 25. Still, some major leagues are still absent, such as the Liga MX, J. League, Super Lig, and Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A.

30 Leagues Confirmed, More to be Added
Right now, EA’s FC 26 has 30 leagues that are confirmed to be in the game, from England’s Premier League, Barclays Women’s Super League, MLS, and all the way to the Chinese Super League. you may also experience matches in over 120 authentic stadiums around the world.
Here’s all the confirmed leagues that are going to be part of FC 26:

Liga MX Comeback Story
The top five leagues have always been the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1, all of whom have already pledged to be part of FC 26. That said, Liga MX is still on top of every football nut’s wishlist and there’s a good reason to believe their prayers might be answered.
The Mexican League is one of the biggest leagues in North America, and they draw more fans per game than every league outside of the NFL and MLB. Plus, it’s the 4th most-attended soccer league in the world.

The league has been absent from EA’s football games since FIFA 22 when Liga MX decided to sign an exclusive deal with another football game fromKonami, eFootball. But here’s where it gets interesting because just recently,Konami confirmed that one of its exclusively licensed leagues will be removed from eFootball, and apparently, this opened up a pathway for FC 26 to snatch Liga MX.
The Brazilian Question
Another league that’s recently come in question is if Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A will be part of FC 26. I don’t have to explain to you that Brazil is a football powerhouse and is home to some of South America’s biggest clubs and has produced countless world-class players such as Neymar, Vinicius Jr. (Real Madrid), and Casemiro (Manchester United F.C).
There’s some discussions on Reddit on whether FC 26 will feature all domestic teams from Brazil’s Serie A and I get it, it’s hard to justify FC 26 without Brazil’s football predigree, but the good news is thatFlamengo and Corinthians are already part of FC 26so it’s looking good for the rest of the Brazilian league.

What About The J. League?
If you’re wondering if the J. League will step into FC 26. That might be a hard NO.J. League, with its 3 divisions and an assortment of team rosters composed of Japanese locals and imports, is less likely to debut in FC 26 because of its ties with Konami and the eFootball franchise.
The absence of these major leagues isn’t because teams wouldn’t want themselves featured in FC 26. Rather, there are a lot of outside factors and more stars that should align in order to make games that feature international teams a reality and that falls into a single word, Licensing.

Licensing is one of the greatest challenges in creating asports game, which is why even FIBA, which requires only one team per country, doesn’t have its own title and only exists as anextra addition to NBA 2K25. There are a lot of real-world aspects, starting with the players, coaches, teams, laws, and even politics can all become factors, and whose different interests should all align just to get their names listed and the game ball rolling.
