Charlize Theron is easily one of the most effortless beauties with magnificent talent in the film industry, having scored so many fan-favorite roles and outdone pretty much all of them. But while she has done everything from rom-coms to action-thrillers to fantasy-adventures to comedy-dramas, fans are still yet to have one wish fulfilled: Seeing her play the female Thor.

While Natalie Portman already played this character as Jane Foster in 2022’sThor: Love and Thunder, years before that, a fan laid this prospect ahead of Theron. And, while she wasn’t too sure about playing the character back then as she must be now, Theron still ended up winning fans’ hearts with her unceremoniously flirty response to the fan who expressed this wish to her.
Charlize Theron Didn’t Play Female Thor and Still Won Hearts
During theSan Diego Comic–Con 2017, the then-41-year-oldCharlize Theronhad a fan pointing out how, throughout her star-studded career, she has embodied a multiplicity of characters spread across various genres. However, when it came to the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DCU, she held zero credits back then.
That said, she was asked if she got a chance to play any character from either of these universes, who would it be. To this, theSnow White and the Huntsmanactress initially cross-questioned her fan, asking [viaFilms That Rock on YouTube]:

No, who would you want me to play? Who do you think I could play?
Without even hesitating, the fan pointed out just who she could play:“A female Thor! I mean. Totally. Or DC Powergirl.”

At this,Theron first broke out in a chuckle, asking,“Wow, you sure?”And when the fan answered that he was sure, the actress ended up leaving him flustered and fumbling with his own words by sweetly saying,“Oh my gosh, that’s nice. Thank you!”
But what was even more iconic than this wasthe flirty response from the fan-favorite actressthat came after that. As the fan, evidently mesmerized by her mere presence, embarrassingly fumbled with his words trying to find the right thing to say besides“you’re so welcome,”Theron saved him the embarrassment by saying:

Dude, I feel the same about you.
Effortlessly enough, this earned her a lot of hearty chuckles from the audience that was busy adoring how perfectly Theron knew what to say to make someone else feel better. That said, althoughNatalie Portmanmay have scored the role of the female Thor inThor: Love and Thunder, she still ended up winning hearts with her cheekiness!
Charlize Theron Has Already Made Her MCU Debut
While she couldn’t exactly enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the role that fans desperately wanted her to play,Charlize Theron still made sureto make her debut in this respective super-verse. The only difference was that, instead of playing Thor’s love interest, she made her debut as the superheroine of Doctor Strange’s saga.
