To start this quest, you will need tomake your way over to the Flamebearer Palace. This location can be found within the Battahl region of the game’s map. As you make your way toward the front of this palace, you willfind an NPC named Menella. She will seek your aid in safeguarding the empress from an assassin. You will need to select “Accept” in order to progress this quest forward.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 features a mechanic that will let youprogress time to different parts of the day. Once it is morning, head back to where you encountered Menella and progress forward into the palace. Here,you will find Menella with another NPC named Irmhild.During this dialogue sequence, you will be instructed that the prayer is about to commence, and you will need togo and find the assassin in order to stop them.
Walk along the right side of the stairs.The assassin will be the third person praying as you make your way up. This will be a man in ablue robe with their hair tied back. Another indicator will be their right arm, which will have awound in the shape of a scarred ring around it. Once you find them, grab and pin him down. If you grab and pin down the wrong NPC, it will result in the assassination of Empress Nadinia. you’re able to nowreload your last save and try again. Your reward for completing this quest will consist of3500 XP, 18000 G, and 5 Jasper. There have been reports of the Empressnot dying despite the outcome of this side quest. If she should have died but is still very much alive, she will not be able to progress any follow-up quests.You will need to kill her and then use a wakestoneto revive her.
