Dragon’s Dogma 2: Endgame, Explained
Wondering what the endgame in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is all about. We’ll explain everything in this guide.
Knowing what to do after finishing the main story can be a bit less straightforward than the experience you had leading up to the end. Here are the most important things you should do after beating the game.

Dragon’s Dogma 2
11Normal Ending Checklist
Tying Up Loose Ends Before The Credits Roll
After defeating the final boss and the credits finish, you’ll get the option to load from your past Inn save, which is going to be before you hunted down the main dragon. Since you know where the end of the game is now, you can always come back and do it again when you are ready.
In the meantime, make the most of loading the last Inn save. You canfinish up any open-ended quests, continueexploring and filling out the map, level up your Vocations and overall level, andhunt down more rare gearor theremaining drakesthat you haven’t defeated.

10Reach The Unmoored World
Defy Fate And Jump Into The Endgame Experience
If you aren’t satisfied with the way the story wraps up, during the credits, you’re able to also choose to speak to the Pathfinder, who will be sitting at the table in front of your throne. When you speak to him, it will interrupt the credits, and he will insinuate that you are not satisfied even after getting the most desirable outcome possible.
Once this cutscene ends, speak to him again, and he will take you back to the beginning of the fight with the final dragon. While riding on the dragon’s back, you will be able to trigger a different outcome by crawling onto his chest and stabbing yourself with the Godsbane Blade. This causes both you and the dragon to fall to your deaths and ultimately leads you to the Unmoored World, an apocalyptic version of the world you’ve known thus far, also known as the endgame.

9Unlock The True Ending
The Satisfying Conclusion To The Story
Now that you are in the Unmoored World, the entire game begins to function as a pseudo roguelite. Without ever learning this directly, the whole endgame gets put on an invisible countdown as you race to save everyone before the world is destroyed.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Unlock The True Ending
Just like the original Dragon’s Dogma, DD2 has multiple endings. Here’s how you can unlock the true ending of the game.
As the fog spreads across the world, a red beacon will show up in each main area. You’ll need to dispel the looming threat in each area and evacuate the people in order to continue down the path to the true ending. Successfully taking down each beacon and the Unmoored dragons that follow will trigger the true ending of the game and open up the path into NG+.

8Do The Endgame Right
Take Your Time And Explore
Despite the roguelite time crunch and general uneasiness you will feel as you run around the world, defeating dragons and saving the locals, it is important that you make the most of your time here and see everything there is to see. The world as a whole is very different now. There areentirely new areas opened upsince all the water found in rivers, lakes, and oceans has been drained. Returning to areas you have previously crossed many times feels foreign, and there are new paths to take, enemies to face, and secrets to find, so make sure you take the time to explore.
So long as you avoid resting at an Inn, you can prolong much of the devastation. And after you have familiarized yourself with everything and know what you want to do with the time you have, you can always choose to die. Doing so will give you the option torestart from the beginning of your most recent day in the Unmoored World, or go back to when you first Awakened there. This means that despite you being on a countdown timer, you can still rest assured that there is a way to reset it all and plot a better path through the endgame as you strive for the true ending.
