Disney Speedstorm has a lot of moving parts, and not being aware of one of them can cost you your time, your resources, and reduce how often you can come in that coveted first place. It is best to know where to start, where your focus should be when in menus, and what to practise on — among other things.

It is a good course of action to read through these tips and make a note of each. Once you’ve been playing the game for a couple of days while keeping some of these tips in mind, they’ll become like second nature.

10Finish The Starter Circuit

The Starter Circuit acts as a form of tutorial, teaching you the basics of everything you may need while you play the game. Depending on your racer and your class, you can focus on mastering the ones that are most important to you first before investing time into others.

This is also where you will beunlocking all the various game modesand getting a taste of what rewards there are and what they are used for. It is highly recommended that you do everything there is to do in the starter circuit before progressing to other parts of the game.

9Know The Four Classes

There are four classes in Disney Speedstorm, and each of them gain boosts from a different play style. Try out each of them to know which one works best for you and not just the skills associated with a racer.

Brawlers have a bonus to their handling stat and will stun any racer they dash into. Defenders can get a bonus to either their Acceleration or their Combat stats. They can also gain a shield by dashing into another racer. Speedsters have the highest Top Speeds, and hitting another racer with a dash rewards you with an automatic boost. Tricksters get a bonus to their boost stat, and dashing into another racer will disrupt them.

8Get The Right Rewards

There are a lot of rewards and currencies in Speedstorm, each having their own purpose. Once you have completed the Starter Circuit, there are various currencies you will need to obtain through all the various game modes. Season Coins are earned through Limited Events and can be used to buy boxes and upgrade material from the shop.

Tokens can be obtained from Seasonal Events. MP Coins are what you will get from racing in Multiplayer and will be spendable on upgrades and cosmetic items. Playing in Ranked games will also get you unique cosmetics, making it worth exploring.

This may seem like a very small thing that only effects being right behind someone as you cross the finish line, but this is not the case in Speedstorm.Epic crew membersgive a starting skill, and being able to get a great head start can lead to you avoiding being the target of any of these combat skills — and getting a skill pick-up before others.

Getting a skill pick-up means you could deny someone else who would have picked it up, and this can reduce how fast they can complete their laps.

6You Can Jump For More Than Just Grinding

When you see a grind rail, you’re able to jump up onto it and grind along it to cover more of the track’s distance than you could have without it. However, jumping has more uses than being just a means to get onto rails.

You may see a split in one ofthe many tracks featured in Disney Speedstorm, and there are times that instead of going either way, you can jump and go through the middle. You can also use a jump when going over an edge, so another racer hits the track first and can be the target of a stunning projectile already in motion.

5Find What Works Best For You

All the characters in Speedstorm have different loadouts. This includes stats, skills, Crew Members, and their unique skill. This means thatsome racers will be better than othersand have a higher chance of winning. If you are competitive, take this into account when determining who you want to practise with and develop.

A big factor to consider is not just who you are good with, but who you find fun to control. Try out different racers in Regulated Multiplayer — where everything is balanced — to see which racer’s skill kit you enjoy having and using the most.

4Stay Upgraded

While this is nothing to worry about in Regulated Multiplayer, Ranked will see you needing to stay on top of these upgrades if you wish to place higher in the leaderboard. As you upgrade your racer with these materials, you will see several areas of improvement.

Each of their base stats can be increased, and both their skills and unique racer skill will become more powerful. It is worth noting that you should first know which racer you want to make your primary focus and funnel everything you can into that racer for the most value.

3Ranked Offers Unique Cosmetics

You may find yourself preferring Regulated Multiplayer as your dedicated multiplayer game mode due to it being balanced and fair for all players. However, Ranked offers unique cosmetic rewards.

If you find yourself seeing some of these that you really would like to have, you may want to explore Ranked mode. Ranked is a different feel from Regulated, as you will need to outfit your racer with Crew Members, a mechanic no present in regulated.

2Don’t Waste Boost

You have a manual boost, this will build up differently depending on your class. Brawlers gain manual boost for stunning other racers, Defenders get theirs by racing in another racer’s slipstream, Speedsters manual boost is charged through hitting boost pads on the track, and Tricksters get their manual from drift boosting.

There is a limit of how much you’re able to store, so use it before it fills and reduces the total amount of boost you’ll be able to use through the course of a race.

1Know When To Charge

Every skill in the game comes in different forms, mostly Normal and Charged. Unlike simplergames like Mario Kart and KartRider: Drift, Speedstorm offers each racer a unique skill, along with a kit of general skills.

Anyone can pick a racer and play for fun, but if you’re looking to get really good at the game, you will need to know why your chosen racer’s kit works for them and what each of their normal and charged uses are — which one is better for your current situation.
