A new rumor has surfaced that Disney is looking to make a live-action version ofBig Hero 6and that they are planning to set it in the MCU. While there have been no scoops or official confirmations, fans have taken to the internet to talk about what they think of the project. It is not known if Disney is looking to adapt the animated version that it made for itself or the original version from Marvel Comics, but it seems fans are largely open to the idea, if a little skeptical.

Fans have taken to the internet to talk about how they feel about the idea, with responses staying mostly positive. However, some are a little ticked about the whole idea, given thatBig Hero 6already has a pretty large presence outside of the MCU, and bringing them in could cause fans to confuse the properties, which would unnecessarily dilute the brand.
Fans have a mixed response to the Big Hero 6 rumor
Twitter has been rife with fans reacting to the rumors of a live-actionBig Hero 6movie, which is also complicated by the fact that rumor mentions that it might be a part of the MCU. Reactions have been largely positive, albeit not exactly strong.
i personally wouldn’t hate it but i think it should be similar to fantastic four where it’s in the MCU but it’s in an alternate universe so it’s not really dragged down by the history of the mainline mcu🤷🏽♂️

I mean it’s not out of the realm of possibility to add them to the mcu because they are a Marvel property

That would be THEIR MISTAKE.

The reactions have ranged from waiting for more information to absolute disgust, while others just want the House of Mouse to continue the story in its animated form on its own. A live-actionBig Hero 6film based on the animated Disney film might not be the way to go, but given that some of the members of the team (such as the Silver Samurai) have already been introduced in live-action, a more accurate adaptation of the characters as they appear in comics could go a long way.

Dallas Liu is the perfect cast for Sunfire/Shiro Yoshida
Dallas Liuhas expressed interest inwanting to play a pyrokinetic mutant, with his prime choice being that of Pyro. However, should the actor want to enter the MCU as a more mature character, Sunfire would also be a great character for Liu. While being a part ofGiant-Sized X-Menand alsoBig Hero 6, the character could be an anchor point that appears in both worlds, should Disney go ahead with the Marvel version of their characters,
“He’s just still not strong enough”: Dallas James Liu is Sure Zuko will Never be Powerful Enough to Beat 1 Avatar: The Last Airbender Character
Sunfire is an important character for a host of parts of the MCU, being a part of the international team of the X-Men (one that introduced characters like Storm, Wolverine, and Colossus to the mainstream) while also being an integral part of Wolverine’s story (given that his sister had dated the Canadian superhero).
