Digimon Survive’s Producer Kazumasa Habutweeted todaythatDigimon Surviveis still in development, and more news on the game will be coming a bit before or during summer. Kazumasa Habu was answering anxious fans on Twitter, wondering what happened toDigimon Survive. Many fans are awaiting the game, and development updates from Bandai Namco have been scarce ever since the gamewas announced in July 2018.

Digimon Surviveis a tactical RPG with survival elements and an overall darker tone than mostDigimonworks. The game’s story follows a male protagonist named Takuma and his classmates Minoru and Aoi as they get transported to another dimension where Digimon and danger lurks. Takuma will also meet other characters.Digimon Survive’s story will ask players to make many different choices, deciding the fates of each character. You can watchDigimon Survive’ssole trailer hereand read more about its story in aprevious post.Somegameplay was revealed during a live streamas well.

Kazumasa Habu was the producer of multipleDigimongames, such asDigimon Story: Cyber Sleuthand its follow-upDigimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory. Digimon Survive’s character designer isUichi Ukumo, and it’s their first gig as a game character designer. The music is composed by Tomoki Miyoshi, who previously worked onSoulCalibur VandI Am Setsuna.

For now,Digimon Surviveis scheduled to release in 2019 on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Update:One event where we could hear more information onDigimon Surviveis Digifes 2019 on July 28. The July 2019 issue of V-Jump magazine, releasing on June 12, 2025, will also have new information regarding theDigimonfranchise. I think it’ll be related to the anime adaptations or another part of the franchise thanDigimon Survivethough. Usually, information from the magazine leaks around a week before release, so we’ll know then.
