Warlocks are the “magic” users inDestiny 2, and this reliance on superhuman powers to keep yourself, and your allies, alive is still the case with Strand. With the release of the new subclass in theLightfall expansion, Warlocks have been given anew batch of powers and abilitiesto play with.

Named Broodweaver,the new buildfor Warlocks relies heavily on the use of thenew Darkness-based abilities called Threadlings. It combines the use of Threadlings to attack to enemies, and the usual batch of healing abilities to keep their Fireteam alive.
Best Broodweaver Abilities & Stats
The foundation of your Broodweaver build is going to be the subclass' inherent abilities. TheSuperfor the Broodweaver isNeedlestorm, which has your Warlock sending out Needlings that seek out enemies. When they hit an enemy, they then send out moreThreadlingsthat will further seek out more enemies. It’s a great power that can deal out a ton of damage to a lot of enemies at once.
Tofill out the rest of your Warlock’s abilities, you will want to use the following recommendations.

Ability Description
Arcane Needle
The melee attack for Warlocks has three charges that, when connected with an enemy, will make them Unraveled, which causes them to create projectiles that shoot other targets. They will also create a Tangle when defeated.
Healing Rift
The well creates an area on the ground which will heal yourself and allies when standing in it.
Strafe Lift
This jump ability will give you better control when jumping in the air.
Threadling Grenade
This grenade will shoot out Threadlings that will seek out enemies and damage.
For your Warlock’sstats, it is recommended tofocus on Recovery and Discipline first. Get these two stats up to Tier 10 so that you can have the least amount of cooldown for Class Abilities and Grenades. After this, Intellect and Strength will also be useful to help your cooldown for your Super and melee.

Best Broodweaver Aspects
The aspects for Broodweaver will help give your abilities a bump that when combined, will turn out to be a huge boost in what damage you’re able to do and how quickly you can do it. As of now, there areonly two optionsto choose from for your Aspects so there won’t be much deliberation on your part for them

This aspect gives you the ability to use your Threadling Grenade to summon five Threadlings to hunt down enemies.
Weaver’s Call
When using your Rift, you will spawn three Threadlings to attack enemies

Fragment Description
Thread of Evolution
This Fragment causes your Threadlings to travel further and deal more damage.
Thread of Generation
When you deal damage, you generate Grenade Energy.
Thread of Propagation
When you land a powered melee Final Blow, you are given Unraveling rounds for your weapon. This applies to all three charges of your melee.
Thread of Warding
When you pick up an Orb of Power, you will be granted Woven Mail, which helps boost your defense.

Best Broodweaver Armor
The biggest piece of armor that you are going to want to focus on isgetting the Swarmers Exotic boots. These boots will do a lot for your Warlock. First off, when you destroy a Tangle, it will generate Threadlings, and any Threadlings you use will induce the Unraveled effect, which will launch projectiles out as they take more damage. Further, when you defeat an Unraveled enemy, they become aTangle, which you can then destroy to create more Threadlings. Theoretically, you can continually create Threadlings to wipe out swarms of enemies in a short amount of time.
Beyond these boots, use your armor tohelp buff your statsto get them to where you need them to be.
Recommended Broodweaver Armor Mods
Armor Mod Description
When using Class Abilities, reduce the cooldown on your grenade.
Impact Induction
When you do damage with your melee attack, you reduce your grenade cooldown.
Innervation
Reduce your grenade cooldown whenever you pick up an Orb of Power.
Create an Orb of Power when you perform a Finisher on an enemy.
Strand Siphon
Rapidly defeating enemies with Strand weapon Final Blows creates Orbs of Power.

Best Broodweaver Weapons
to make the most out of your abilities, the Broodweaver should use Strand weapons. The best weapon us theQuicksilver Storm Exotic Auto Rifle. This gun, when you fully apply its Catalyst, becomes a Strand weapon, and when you land multiple hits, it fires rockets. Further, when you land rockets, you are then able to shoot a grenade.
The downside is that this gun is only obtainable if you spend real money for it, as you have to purchase the Lightfall Annual Pass to redeem it. So, if you don’t feel like shelling out any money for it, truly any of weapons that havethe Hatchling perkwill be great. This perk will spawn Threadlings whenever you deal a precision Final Blow or rapidly defeat enemies.
