One ofDestiny 2’sbest features is its endgame PvE content, and dungeons are no exception. Each dungeon expands on the story of its respective season and expansion, along with its own lore told through the mechanics and encounters scattered throughout.
Spire of the Watcher takes you through a Warmind-themed tower whereyou face off the Sol Divisive sect of the Vexas they attempt to uncover the secrets of the Warmind Soteria.

Destiny 2: Sundered Doctrine Guide
Delve into Rhulk’s pyramid again and drive back the Dread.
This dungeon was released during Season of the Seraph in the Witch Queen expansion, though we’re putting out this guide as part of theRite of the Nine guide.

The mechanics of the dungeon remain largely unchangedin the Rite of the Nine version. In the original version on Mars, you may also findDevilish Recordings hidden throughout the dungeon.
We’ll be covering the mechanics of the dungeon, walkthroughs on how to get it done, and loadouts that you’ll need to bring to succeed.

First Encounter - Reestablish Power
Introducing The Arctrician Buff
The core mechanic of this dungeon is theArctrician buff, which you can acquire by killing a Conduit Minotaur and touching the white circle it drops.
This buff lasts for30 seconds and allows you to shoot and activate any of the exposed nodesscattered throughout the map.

Your goal is toconnect these nodes that are connected through a web of yellow cables(whoever was in charge of cable management should be fired).
Shooting the correct node will extend the buff’s duration for a few more seconds. You’ll also know you shot the right node when you see that thecable is crackling with blue Arc energy.

Walkthrough
For this opening encounter, you’ll see a locked hatch that you must open by activating four nodes, with cables that extend throughout the arena.
You’ll face a lone Vex Goblin as a tumbleweed passes by.Shoot the Goblin to begin the encounter.Who’s the fastest gunslinger on Mars?
Enemies will begin spawning, consisting primarily of Goblins on the ground level, Cyclopses on the cliffs of both sides, and a Conduit Minotaur that spawns periodically.
Kill the Minotaur first and grab the Arctrician buff.Your objective is to find the starting node for each circuit, which are noted in the diagram above (credit toTenrouken on X), and images of what they look like.
Don’t worry if your Arctrician buff runs out–a Conduit Minotaur spawns every once in a while.
Pick a starting node and follow the yellow cable. The challenge isn’t finding the next node, but finding itwhile you’re being attacked, pelted by Goblin slap rifles and bombarded by Cyclops canons.
You’ll need to complete all four circuits to complete the encounter. Here are the locations of the starting points of each circuit:
Follow the yellow cable and make sure youdon’t get the circuits mixed up.Take your time, and you’ll be able to get this done in no time.
After you complete each circuit, a group of Supplicants–explosive Harpies–will spawn.
To avoid this, stop the circuit before you get to the final node, and shoot all four final nodes to end the encounter.
In the Rite of the Nine, this encounter will spawn a Hydra mini-boss at the end.
Recommended Loadout
You may use this loadout for both this and the next encounter, as you’ll still need to prioritize add-clearing and survivability.
Your loadout can vary somewhat depending on whether you’re playing with a Fireteam or if you’re trying to solo-flawless.
Regardless, with add-heavy encounters like this, you’ll need toprioritize survivability and add-clear.
I’ll be providing two builds for each class: one for free-to-play (Light subclasses only) and one for those who have access to Darkness and Prismatic through expansions.
There is no strict requirement to use these loadouts. These are only recommendations based on what works for me. If you’re comfortable with your own loadout, feel free to use it. A Destiny Item Manager link will also be included.

Solar Titan with Lorelei Splendor Helm.
Aspects:Roaring Flames and Sol Invictus.

Prismatic Melee Hunterwith Relativism with Caliban/Liar perk combo.

As for weapons, there is plenty of room to use whatever you want, but I would recommend havingat least one that shoots full-auto,including SMGs, Auto Rifles, LMGs, and even Trace Rifles.
Their rapid-fire shots allow you to hit nodes without having to worry about missing and wasting ammo.
Traversal - Begin The Ascent
Once you’ve completed the first encounter, the hatch will open, leading to a slide that takes you deep into the facility.
The next portion isa series of platforming puzzles. You’ll arrive in a large room with a locked door and no apparent way through.
Climb up the grates to the side, and you’ll see an open vent, which will take you to a much larger area filled with Hobgoblins, Harpies, and the occasional Hydra. You may choose to fight them or ignore them.
Take theanti-gravity liftand continue your ascent, and you’ll arrive at the rally point of the second encounter.
Destiny 2: Rite Of The Nine Guide
The Nine invite you to a challenge.
Second Encounter - Ascend The Spire
Walkthrough - First Floor
Climb up to the edge of the tower and you’ll encounter a Conduit Minotaur.Killing it will begin the encounter.
Immediately near you isa pair of nodes with cables that stretch around the perimeter of the tower. The goal is to simplyfollow the cables and complete the circuit on both sides.
If you’re in a fireteam, designate one person on each side to speed things up, while the third fireteam member acts as add-clear and support.
Begin the circuit by shooting both nodes. You may start on either side and follow the cable to the subsequent nodes. The following order takes place after you’ve shot the respective beginning nodes.
Left Circuit:
Right Circuit:
Complete both circuits by shooting the nodes near the anti-grav lift. Ascend and you’ll arrive on the second floor.
Walkthrough - Second Floor
Immediately turn left, and you’ll find the beginning nodes inside a tunnel blocked by damaging Arc streams.
Shoot both nodes to prime the circuits.
We’ll start with the node closest to you:
Don’t complete the circuit just yet, as this will spawn more enemies. Circle the tower until you reach the other side of the beginning corridor. Follow the cables, and you’ll find the nodes to the second circuit in this exact order:
Both ending nodes are on the walls, right next to the corridor, right above the two solar panels. Shoot both of them to activate the anti-grav lift and proceed upwards.
Walkthrough - Third Floor
Immediately arriving at the third floor, you’ll see a node. If you have Arctrician already, shoot it. If not, wait for the Conduit Minotaur to spawnright in front of you.
Complete the circuits by shooting both nodes, and you’ll complete the encounter. Collect your loot and proceed upwards.
The Rite of the Nine version will spawn a Minotaur mini-boss near the chest. Kill it to end the encounter.
You’ll arrive at the control room. Jump up the catwalk, and you’ll see a lever that opens the windows. Jump out, and you’ll arrive at the top of the tower and the third encounter.
Destiny 2: How To Solve The Hidden Chess Puzzle
After collecting all 60 chess pieces, we now have to solve new chess puzzles in Destiny 2.
Third Encounter - Akelous, The Siren’s Current
This is the first boss encounter of the dungeon, and can be quite tedious if you don’t know what you’re doing.
You’ll see a giant Harpy “eating” a Minotaur, whichyou can kill to start the encounter. But before rallying and starting the encounter, take note that there are four starting nodes near the boss.
Your goal is tocomplete all four circuits to make the boss vulnerable. Each circuit stretches from the center of the tower to the tip of each arm that extends from all four sides.
In Rite of the Nine, you’ll need to complete the circuits that match the shape in the center of the arena. Follow the sequence fromtop to bottom.
Thankfully, the circuits are rather straightforward, butsome nodes can be a little more hidden than the rest. Here’s a diagram of the encounter map, courtesy ofuser tyalka93 from r/raidsecrets:
We will also include the location of each node of each arm.Node 1 of each circuit is at the center, while Node 6 is in front of the fuel rod,at the tip of the arm.
Once you familiarize yourself with where the nodes are, begin the encounter. Goblins will start spawning, along with a Conduit Minotaur on either side of the tower.
Take the Arctrician buff and begin completing the circuits.Harpies will also begin spawning.
When all circuits are completed, the boss will approach you at the last circuit you finished, and it’ll open up its fins, revealing its many eyes at you.Shoot all the eyes to make the boss vulnerable.
Deal damage to the boss while it backs away. You may choose to either follow it slowly while maintaining distance or stay where you are if you’re confident with your effective range.
The boss will then emit a burst of energy, which can push you off the map if you get too close. Rinse and repeat until the boss is dead.
Recommended Loadouts
Arc Titan with Cuirass of the Falling Star.
Aspects:Storm’s Keep and Knockout.
Super:Thundercrash.
Solar Warlockwith Lunafaction or Sunbracers.
Aspects:Touch of Flame and Hellion.
Super:Well of Radiance.
Solar Hunterwith Celestial Nighthawk.

Prismatic Consecration Titanwith Stoicism with Inmost Light/Stareaters perk combo.
Super:Thundercrash or Twilight Arsenal.
Any Prismatic Warlock build.
Aspects: Feed the Void. Any other aspect.
Super:Chaos Reach.
Prismatic Hunterwith Radiant Dance Machines.
Aspects:Threaded Specter and Ascension.
Use any rapid-fire weapon to shoot nodes and the boss’s eyes.
Hard-hitting precision weapons likeSniper Rifles and Linear Fusion Rifles work wonders for DPS.Some notable examples include (but not limited to):
Traversal - Descend The Tower
With the Siren song silenced, collect your loot, and Osiris will start to freak out on the comms. While he’s getting his bearings, you’ll find an entrance under the loot chest. Drop down until you arrive at a large space with Goblins and Hobgoblins.
Add-clear until a Conduit Minotaur spawns. Take the Arctrician buff and shoot the nodes before time runs out.
You’ll notice that these nodes are connected tored cables, which means that they can be shot in any order to activate something.
In Rite of the Nine, red cables now open in a random order before you’re able to shoot them.
Once all five are activated, continue downwards. You’ll arrive at a tunnel full of fans. Navigate slowly and carefully by following the direction that the blades are spinning.
You’ll arrive at two more rooms with the same puzzles. When you reach the third, a Hydra will spawn. Kill it.
Exit the room by dropping down a hole in a corner that’s glowing red. You’ll eventually arrive at the boss arena.
Fourth Encounter - Persys, Primordial Ruin
Persys is the final boss of the dungeon, and because it is a Wyvern,it is extremely aggressive and will use its annoying void blasts to damage you.
This final encounter takes everything you’ve learned by combining both red cables and yellow cables, along with the ever-important Arctrician buff.
Your goal is tolure the boss into the coreand set it off to make it vulnerable by opening the door with red cables, setting off the core with yellow cables, and then closing the door again with red cables.
Rally and begin the encounter by shooting the boss.
A group of enemies will spawn on both sides of the room, including Goblins, Supplicants, and Hydras.
Defeating the Hydras will begin spawning Conduit Minotaurs. Grab the Arctrician buff and shoot all five red nodes to open the door. There’s one on each pillar and one right on top of the door.
Then, two random yellow nodes out of four will open up, allowing you to connect them to the nodes in the room. Above is a diagram of the boss room, courtesy ofHolden A. Grenade from r/DestinyTheGame.
Once you’ve completed two circuits, leave the core through the small doorswhile the boss enters through the big door.
If you don’t have the Arctrician buff, grab it from a Minotaur now. With the buff, shoot all five red nodes to close the door, and the core will explode, depleting the boss’s shields.
The door will open, allowing you to damage the boss as it slowly walks towards you while shooting its cannons at you.Keep a distance from it while you’re damaging it before its shields come back up.
Rinse and repeat until the boss is dead.
Once again, you’ll need to prioritize survivability and boss damage. Anything that can quickly take out pesky Supplicants will work well here.
Arc Titanwith Stronghold
Super:Thundercrash
Super:Deadfall Shadowshot.
Prismatic Consecration Titanwith either Synthoceps or Stoicism with Inmost Light/Stareaters perk combo.
Super:Twilight Arsenal
Super:Golden Gun.
For Titans, I highly recommend taking boss aggro by using Stronghold and any sword with Flash Counter, like Abyssal Edge or Thin Precipice.
Because guarding with Stronghold makes you nigh invincible and lasts indefinitely, you can sit there and let the boss shoot at you while your teammates complete the mechanics.
Once your teammates are ready to complete the circuits, you can lure the boss into the core to blow it up.
You have two DPS options for weapons. you may either use Gjallarhorn and legendary rocket launchers, or precision weapons if you’re feeling confident in landing those hits (or if somebody is using Divinity).
