With the release ofDestiny 2’s Season of the Witch comesthree brand-new Exotic armor pieces. These Exotics are some of the stronger Exotic drops players have received in a while, as typically seasonal Exotics can be somewhat underwhelming. Usually, each class receives one new Exotic per season, so if your main class gets the short end of the stick, it can be rather frustrating.

With Super-changing capabilities, Grenade-altering powers, and Aspect-bending traits, these exotics will be a part of many players' arsenals, and some may even become a mainstay pick in the meta. In this article, we will rank them and discuss their uses and how powerful they are.
3Mothkeeper’s Wraps
The Hunter’s Mothkeeper’s Wraps are the weakest entry on this list. While they deal a solid amount of damage, these Hunter gauntlets are not strong enough to warrant use over another Exotic. Mothkeeper’s Wraps change your subclass' Grenade into a ‘cage of loyal moths that release on impact and fly toward the nearest target or ally.’ If they hit an enemy, they deal damage and blind them temporarily. Instead, if they hit an ally, they will provide them with a Void Overshield. This is a fun and incredibly unique feature, but isn’t awfully powerful.

Mothkeeper’s Wraps are fun and have a unique synergy with the Ex Diris seasonal Exotic Grenade Launcher, where Ex Diris kills also spawn an Overshield moth. While this combo is fun and can work in more leisurely activities like the newSavathun’s Spire seasonal activity, it won’t exactly help too much in achallenging Nightfallas Grenades already do plenty of damage, and the Void Overshield will just be destroyed too quickly for it to be valuable at all.
2Briarbinds
The Briarbinds on Warlock are pretty interesting. While you may not be rushing to take them into aMaster Raid, this Exotic has a lot of power in pieces of content like Legend Lost Sectors or Nightfalls. Briarbinds allows the Warlock to collect their Void Souls after they have been deployed. Void Souls also become tankier and deal more damage as they kill enemies and have a longer duration than usual. Given that most Voidwalker builds incorporate the Child of the Old Gods Aspect, makinga powerful Voidwalker buildwith these Exotic Gloves isn’t too tricky.

The best part about the Briarbinds is that you can simultaneously have multiple Void Souls on the field with relative ease. As long as you juggle the timers of the Void Souls, you can send them forward to enemies in a pack. On top of this, the Void Souls retain their damage buffs, too, even after being picked up, which means you can have around three or four supercharged Void Souls on a group of enemies at one time, making them perfect for clearing out rooms and topping off your ability cooldowns.
1Pyrogale Gauntlets
The Titan’s Pyrogale Gauntlets are an absolute beast and a distant cousin to the Hunter’s Celestial Nighthawk Exotic Helmet in functionality. The Pyrogale Gauntlets modify Titan’s Burning Maul to become a ‘one and done’ Super. Burning Maul is now one massive slam that deals immense damage, rivaling Cuirass of the Falling Star with Thundercrash, the typical go-to option for Titans for damage. Pyrogale Gauntlets also modify the Consecration Aspect to send out a ‘cyclone of flame’ on the second slam. While mostSunbreaker Titan buildsdon’t use the Consecration Aspect, it might be worth trying with these Gauntlets.
Pyrogale Gauntlets can synergize with the Synthoceps Exotic Arms. It is important to note that this could be a bug and may be patched in the future. However, if you cast your Burning Maul Super with the Pyrogale Gauntlets equipped and then swap to Synthoceps and receive the Biotic Enhancements damage buff, your Super will deal massively increased damage, rising into the millions in some cases. A similar interaction was present on Hunter with Celestial Nighthawk and Foetracer (before its Season 22 rework), meaning this may be an intended feature to encourage loadout swaps.
