Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas received much criticism from fans of DC comics and the Arkhamverse for allegedly tarnishing the image of the series that took almost a decade to build. Things seem to be going downhill for the live-service element, the tumultuous pre-release, and the Early Access release that wasn’t even playable as the game was shipped with a game-breakingbug.

“We want it to be ‘always on.’ And the good news is the gaming space is lending itself to that”: Warner Bros May be Targeting More Live Service Games After Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

But, contrary to what people may believe, given the game’s lack of polish and negative fan reactions, the title, at least commercially speaking, seems to be doing well. While this may surprise most people, following the buzz being primarily negative around the game, the numbers speak for themselves.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Numbers on Steam and the Game’s Future

As stated earlier, the numbers for the game speak for themselves. Heading over to the game’s product page on Steam, one is bound to be surprised with the reviews. The reviews are very positive, as almost 85% of the users have given it a thumbs up in the review section.

While some people have mentioned that the game is not worth its price tag and that one should ideally wait for it to be discounted instead of paying the total price, there isn’t a lot of negative sentiment in the game’s review section. Understandably, the game was only released a few days ago at the time of writing, and therefore, the reviews are still not enough to make a clear statement; for what it is worth, they are still much better than one would imagine.

Also, the game was number one on the preorder list ahead of titles likeTekken 8, as per this Redditpost.

Since the game is a live-service one with a whole post-launchroadmapthat also promised that all the upcoming content would be offered for free, the already positive ratings will likely go further up. Also, the fans expressed their opinions on the game using social media, and many seemed thrilled about it.

Some other fans appreciated the game’s humor and writing, as it is based on probably one of the most unhinged anti-hero bunches in DC Comics:

So far, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is basically DC Comics meets The Division 2, with Sunset Overdrive traversal.Great writing so far, too. Genuinely funny.

While some may dislike the game for various reasons, many still love it for what it is. Some people still acknowledge the flaws, but despite the flak, the game might do well if this continues.
