If you’re looking forward toDeltarune’snext chapter, you’ll be glad to know that while it’s not coming out soon, the wait won’t be as long as compared to the release of Chapter 3 to Chapter 4.
Chapter 5 of the episodic RPG by Tony Fox isconfirmed for release outside of 2025.
Deltarune Chapter 5 Release Confirmed
While the wait between the previous chapter releases of Deltarune took an agonizing three years, Chapter 5 won’t take as long to be released.
According to the end credits of Chapter 4, the next chapter will continue the tale in 2026 (viaIGN). Unfortunately, that’s about it. There’s no month or targeted quarter mentioned, so this timeframe could mean anywhere from August 19, 2025 to July 28, 2025.
At the very least, fans can take comfort that they won’t need to wait years between chapters this time around.

Deltarune, which is considered the sequel to hit RPGUndertale, has an episodic release, with itsfirst and second chaptersreleased in October 2018 and September 2021, respectively. Chapters 3 & 4 were released this June.
Based on the game’s menu, there are a total of seven chapters, so there’s a lot of the game’s story yet to be told.
Chapters 1 & 2 can be played now for free, withChapters 3& 4 available as a paid purchase. Future chapters will be added for free, according to Toby Fox.
For those curious, the game’s description reads, “Dive into the parallel story to UNDERTALE! Fight or spare your way through action-packed battles as you explore a mysterious world alongside an endearing cast of new and familiar characters. Chapters 1-4 will be available on launch, with more planned as free updates!”
