Behaviour Interactive has revealed in the “Haunted By Daylight” trailer thatDead by Daylightwill be free-to-play for a limited time during the final weekend of October. It also details upcoming Halloween festivities, collections, and a new in-game event called Molevelence that will be available throughout October.
Starting fromOctober 27th to November 1st, players can get their hands on various killers and survivors at no charge, as Dead by Daylight will become free-to-play as part of the Haunted By Daylight event. Aside from free weekend, Behaviour Interactive revealed a ton of new festivities that will be available throughout October, including outfits, Tome 13, Halloween sales, and more.
There will also be several quality-of-life changes via new updates that aim to improve the player experience. The new in-game event dubbed Molevelence will begin onOctober 13rd at 11 AM ETand run until November 3rd, during which the Haunted By Daylight event will take place.

As part of the Molevelence event, players can save Void Energy that appears throughout The Fog to deposit it to unlock Halloween-themed cosmetics for their survivor and killer. The event also features memories of The Ghost Face and Mikeale Reid, allowing players to know more about their story before The Fog. As players progress through the Free Track, they can unlock outfits and Charms, including Yuki Kimura’s Midnight Techwear and The Artist’s Fallen Angel. Furthermore, the Free Track will allow players to earn rewards in every tier, including the Wassup mask for Ghost Face.
The Haunted By Daylight event also adds limited-time Tricks and Treats and Midnight Grove collection, featuring outfits for Jane Romero, Dwight Fairfield, Mikeale Reid, and The Doctor. Both collections will be available to pick up in the store starting October 11th. Additionally, players will have discounts on the base game, expansion packs, and DLCs as part of the event. Lastly, the development team is bringing some quality-of-life changes with the event. Players who progress beyond Tier 70 of the archives can now earn Deep Rift Outfits. They can also review all outfits directly from the Rift. The Haunted By Daylight event will be available on October 11th for all platforms.
