While David Corenswet will be essaying the role of perhaps one of the most iconic characters in the DCU, Brosnahan was making quite the bank with how much she was getting paid as the lead ofThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, with each episode clocking in at a whopping 300,000 dollars.

Rachel Brosnahanwill be essaying the role of Lois Lane in the DCU, the celebrated reporter who will serve as the love interest for Superman/Clark Kent. Her casting in the role was one that was the subject of heavy public speculation, with scoopers and journalists all over the casting list for the DCU’s live-action character, making their debut withSuperman.
However, whileDavid Corenswetwas relatively known only on a smaller scale, Brosnahan was already a household name and was making the kind of money that came with that accolade. She was in high-profile shows likeHouse of Cardsand was making around $300,000 per episode ofThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel(as per Page Six), a show that became a major series for Prime Video.

Superman’s trailer is supposed to hit the internet this coming Thursday morning, and there have already been some comparisons of the motion poster with what was released for Man of Steel under Zack Snyder. While a lot of fans have been talking about how Zack Snyder’s version did not capture the essence of Superman at all, what James Gunn has released is more akin to what the character should be about.
The DCU is already off to a great start withCreature Commandos, which might not have as wide an audience asSupermandoes, but has managed to capture the imagination of the mainstream genre audience nonetheless.
Superman‘s trailer is sure to take the internet by storm, which might prompt the MCU to also put out a teaser for its Fantastic Four film, which will be on it’ way to theatres around the same time. 2025, in general, would serve as a great year for superhero fiction, as not only will it see the DCU kick off in earnest, but it will also see shows likeDaredevil: Born AgainandInvinciblereturn to the small screen.
