Creature Commandoshas been renewed for a second season.
The adult animation was the first project in James Gunn’sDCUniverse. Despite that designation, there is still overlap with Gunn’s previousDCEUprojects. He had previouslyclarified:
The new series picks up directly after our Peacemaker Season One finale, which leavers Waller with her hands tied operationally, meaning that she’s no longer able to get away with putting human lives on the line to carry out her clandestine, morally questionable missions. Instead, she recruits a ragtag band of misfits, not unlike the Suicide Square and Peacemaker.

So anyone looking to startCreature Commandosmight also want to, either before or after, watch bothPeacemakerSeason One and Gunn’sSuicide Squadfilm. InCreature Commandos, Rick Flagg Sr. is tasked with leading a group of non-human villains on a dangerous mission with… you guessed it… world-ending consequences.
Played by Frank Grillo, Flagg Sr. is also set to have a major role in season two ofPeacemaker, likely looking for justice for the title character killing Rick Flagg Jr. inThe Suicide Squad.
