Cyberpunk 2077will be the first game that CD Projekt Red releases in the futuristic franchise when it launches next year, but we now know that it definitely won’t be the last.
In a new report from Bankier, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński confirmed that the company already has three different projects based off ofCyberpunk 2077in active development. Kiciński said that one of these is the “main game” which iswhat will be launching next April. He then confirmed that one of the other projects associated with the series that is being worked on is associated with multiplayer. Whether or not this will beCyberpunk 2077’stake on a specific multiplayer mode similar toGwentor it’ll be something else associated with more traditional multiplayer stylings like deathmatch remains to be seen.

As for what the thirdCyberpunk 2077game in development could be, Kiciński did not say. However, it was confirmed that following the release ofCyberpunk 2077, the company’s next major release will also be set in that same universe. So perhaps CD Projekt Red is already in active development on a sequel toCyberpunk 2077? It’s hard to say, but it definitely seems possible.
In total, CD Projekt Red has five teams that are currently creating games. Three of those are working onCyberpunk 2077titles, another is stillactively working onGwent, and the last team is still secretively toying away on something that hasn’t been revealed just yet.

It should come as no surprise that CD Projekt Red seems very committed to this newCyberpunk 2077IP, but having three projects set in the franchise’s world already in development is more than I would have initially expected. It might be awhile until we hear about these other titles in development but it’s good to know just what CDPR has planned for the future.
As for the first game in the franchise,Cyberpunk 2077, it’s set to arrive next year on July 09, 2025, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
