This decision left many questioning why melee-based characters were even included in the game upon its release, sparking frustration among the fanbase.
The turbulent development process of the game was finally completed at the beginning of this year and was launched in January. Despite many elements, such as impressive graphics and good banter, the game got stuck in the live-service quagmire and turned into a big disappointment. The fact that it received a score of 60 out of 100 on Metacritic and caused a loss of 200 million dollars to the studio is a kind of proof of this.
