A teaser for the nextCall of Dutyentry has been discovered by players ofWarzone.Because of its rotation of primary developers, theÂCall of Dutyfranchise has released one entry to the series per year since 2005, so it’s no doubt that before the end of the year, players are going to experience the next big thing thatCall of Dutyhas to offer. For 2020, the next installment in the series is being teased througha website that has so far played historical footage from 1961 and 1962.There have also been teasers within their latest release.Call of Duty: WarzoneStreamer PrestigeIsKey discovered today that players are able to begin piecing together what the story for the next entry will be through a farmhouse locked by a number combination in zone H6 of the map. Inside the room, players will find TVs, a generator, a phone, blueprints, and much more as well as a few item drops to reward their discovery.

The most notable word inside the room is “Venona” which is displayed on a code-cracking poster. As many history buffs would be able to tell you, the Venona project was acounterintelligence program run by the United States governmentfrom 1943 until 1980. Its main goal was to decode messages being sent to and from the Soviet Union who was considered the USA’s enemy during the Cold War.

All of these details hint that the nextÂCall of DutyÂis going to be set in the Cold War and will most likely follow the story of a Venona project codebreaker. This is also in line withsome plot leaksthat happened back at the end of July as well as therumored titleCall of Duty Black Ops: Cold War.

At this point, it’s likely a waiting game until more details are either officially announced or anotherWarzoneplayer picks up on a hidden teaser inside the battle-royal style map.
