After a long wait, the new chapter ofBoruto: Two Blue Vortexis almost here, and as usual, the spoilers for Chapter 5 have surfaced online. Not revealing much in the introduction, this is going to be a really emotional chapter filled with intense battles, some heartwarming flashbacks, and a much-needed reunion.

Previously, we saw Boruto facing dangerous God Trees controlled by Code. Boruto battled using teleportation and lightning powers, revealing they had become self-aware due to Code’s interference. Meanwhile, Kawaki suspected someone of aiding Boruto in the village. Sarada proposed an alliance with Boruto against Code, recognizing Boruto’s knowledge about the trees, and the fight intensified, with Boruto’s escape aided by Koji Kashin. Ultimately, the chapter explored the threat posed by the God Trees, Boruto’s confrontation with Code, and the potential alliance between Boruto and Konoha against this dangerous enemy.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 5 - What To Expect?
The episode starts with a flashback to the time when Boruto flees the village with Sasuke’s aid. Sasuke and Boruto converse about Uchiha techniques. Noticing Sasuke’s seriousness, Boruto acknowledges his earlier complacency and apologizes. Boruto, keen on learning more, approaches Sasuke earnestly, but Sasuke, recognizing Boruto’s genius and quick learning, believes Boruto holds all necessary knowledge. However, Sasuke advises him to continue his training to master his skills.
Suddenly, Code emerges, prompting Sasuke to urge Boruto to flee. Refusing to leave Sasuke behind, Boruto prepares to battle Code. However, recognizing their slim chances against the threat, Sasuke insists on Boruto escaping, and Sasuke explains that no one will die as long as Boroto lives. Sasuke asks him to take care of Sarada. Subsequently, Sasuke undergoes a transformation, turning into a tree. Witnessing this, Boruto tells Sasuke to leave the rest to him.

Konohamaru appears in the scene where Moegi is within the tree. Despite appearances, everyone holds onto hope that Moegi isn’t lost and they’ll discover a way to rescue her. Ino-Shika-Cho’s child feels desperation and anger, sensing intense emotions. The Shinju Clones are revealed as distinct entities with their own consciousness.
Jura expresses an unfamiliar desire to consume Naruto. However, Bug clarifies that Naruto Uzumaki isn’t an Ohtsutsuki. Despite being Shinju Clones, they’re evolving differently, driven by changing instincts. This reveals that these clones, as separate beings, are influenced by primal instincts. Subsequently, the Shinju Clones deliberate on whom they wish to consume, considering Konohamaru and Matsuri as potential targets for their instincts. Finally, a Shinju Clone says that he will consume Sadara.
Despite Sumire’s belief that Boruto is Kawaki, Amado doubts it, suspecting his memories have been tampered with. He asserts being the sole modifier of Kawaki’s body, leaving a distinct mark, ensuring Kawaki’s identity. Amado’s focus remains solely on the Karma designed for Akebi’s resurrection, confirming that Kawaki currently possesses it.
Amado, in his thoughts, reveals implanting Akebi’s data into Kawaki’s Karma, awaiting a clone to transfer this Karma for her revival. He’s sure Kawaki got his modifications, leaving a clear mark. Even though Sumire thinks Boruto is Kawaki, Amado doubts it because he’s the only one who changed Kawaki. His main concern is the Karma he made for Akebi’s return, and he’s certain Kawaki has it.
Sumire informs Sarada and possibly Shikamaru that Amado recognizes his memories were altered. Sarada finds it hard to believe, recalling how, despite showing a picture of Boruto as a child with his family, everyone believed Kawaki was his real son without questioning it. As the chapter came to a close, Boruto remembered Sasuke’s sacrifices, and Boruto and Sarada had a heartfelt hug as they finally met after three years.
