Reason For Episode 209’s Delay Explained

To the surprise of many fans,Borutodid not air on its scheduled date on Sunday, 25th July 2021. Instead, the release of episode 209 was delayed.

Boruto, likemany other animeseries streaming on Crunchyroll, was delayed due to the Tokyo Olympics broadcasting at the same time. This means that the anime was pushed back an entire week and is now back on track for its weekly simulcast slot on Sunday, 1st August 2021.

The episode will be titled ‘The Outcast’ and will pick up where episode 208 left off. Naruto will wake up in the hospital surrounded by his family. Boruto then goes to tell Kawaki of this but finds him in pain from his body rejecting the prosthetic.

Kawaki rejects painkillers and Katasuke displays regret for not knowing how to help him properly. While Naruto recovers, Shikamaru tells him what he missed while he was unconscious and that they are still facing a threat, which is made worse by Amado and Koji leaving without telling anyone, possibly for defection.
