Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has rated an unannounced Sony game on its official website. ESRB is a self-regulatory organization that assigns age and content ratings to consumer video games and their website has seemingly confirmed thatHorizon Zero Dawn Remasteris coming to PlayStation 5 and PC very soon.

While the leak is huge, it’s not exactly quite popular among the PlayStation community. There could be various reasons behind it but most of the fanbase was expecting another PlayStation remaster instead of a game that was released less than a decade ago. Fans of theGod of Warfranchise as well asBloodbornefans have been eagerly waiting to try out their favorite games on the newer consoles but Sony has refused to acknowledge them.

Is Sony Making A Mistake WithHorizon Zero Dawn Remastered?
We’ve seen various failed remasters in the past, such as Rockstar Games’Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition,Silent Hill HD Collection, andMafia II Definitive Edition. It seems likeHorizon Zero Dawn Remasteredwill also suffer from the same fate as there is almost no hype about the leak.
“I’ll play whenever it hits Xbox Game Pass”: LEGO Horizon Adventures Devs Spectacularly Ignore Xbox Release Question
Sony has other popular franchises under its belt that deserve a remaster instead ofHorizon Zero Dawn. Guerrilla Games is reportedly working on a thirdHorizongame, so was this remaster really necessary? Players expected remasters of games like2015’sBloodborneand 2005’sGod of Warbut Sony is spending its precious funds on aHorizon Zero Dawnremaster.
This could be a terrible decision from Sony and with Microsoft gaining an edge day by day, they need to start focusing more on players’ feedback to make sure they are making the right decisions. It’s not like Horizon Zero Dawnis a terrible game, it is probably one of the best action role-playing games from Sony, but this is not what the community wanted and Sony might realize it when it’s too late.
