Blue Protocol, the online co-op animePCaction RPG by Bandai Namco, receiveda new job listingstating a worldwide release is coming (Thanks, Renka schedule). For the worldwide release, Bandai Namco is currently looking for a Localization Director. This follows asimilar job listing months agowhich already hinted at a global release, alongside next-genPS5andXbox Series Xreleases as well. This new job listing also states Bandai Namco is considering portingBlue Protocolto consoles.
The staff, during one of the past streams, had already hinted at aglobal release.
According to the job’s description, Bandai Namco aims to releaseBlue Protocolin the next fiscal year. So it won’t release before August 01, 2025. The game will, needless to say, first come to Japan, and then be released worldwide.
Another very intriguing point is how Bandai Namco states it aims to developBlue Protocolinto a Media Mix IP. Media Mix is the Japanese business term for Transmedia, designing IPs which will mix various adaptations together. Good examples areGalaxy Fraulein Yuna,Sakura Taisen, andGalaxy Angel.Or to take more mainstream examples, everything Level-5 makes:Ni No Kuni, Inazuma Eleven, Yo-kai Watch, etc. In other words, onceBlue Protocollaunches, anime, manga, novels, stage plays, or spinoff games could launch as well.
Moreover, we learned via the job offer that there are currently over 130 people on theBlue Protocoldevelopment team at Bandai Namco Online.
